| Be honest, where'd your baby come from??? Okay, I completely understand WHY we want to get our dogs from responsible breeders OR rescue organizations (I strongly believe this). BUT, I have to wonder if there are enough reputable breeders available to meet the demand. I don't know what the solution is, I'm just curious. There are so many wonderful animal-loving people her, how many of our babies actually came from reputable breeders (I'm NOT implying that future pets should not).

| well Gizmo I drove to go get him.. I found out about this breeder from another member here, not sure yet how I would classify her I do not agree on her methods... but I have peace of mind knowing that Gizmo has a better home and we love and adore him. Maddy (bless her heart she passed ) came from another member here, she is not a breeder but she was very well taken care of and loved... I would not have wanted that any other way... I can say I am happy with both of my choices. |

| I got Connor and Cricket from a show breeder in Fl. I got Roxie from a breeder in Ga. who wanted to show but due to her husband's illness I'm not sure she ever got to. Her website hasn't been updated in 2 1/2 yrs. Remi is home grown, I bred her out of Roxie and she's the beginning of my own line.

| I got Lexie and Bear from a great breeder in town, Mac came from a rehoming, and Peanut I guess you would call her a backyard breeder, cause he is half yorkie/maltese...

| Buddy was purchased from a pet store! I have never had a problem with his health due to it. He was born in Budapest, Hungary and was born in a private home according to his papers and website that came with him. They stated that they keep the pups who have potential to become show quality and others are shipped to brokers for pets. He is registered EKCH. Since he now weighs in at 13lbs I can only guess that is the reason for him leaving Hungary. I consider myself one of the lucky ones because I knew nothing about puppy mills or back yard breeders at the time. I have learned a great deal on this site and would not be so innocent if I were to purchase another yorkie. I am very gratefull he is healthy and has a wonderful loving temperment. His linage must have been of good quality because he has a nice silky coat, perfect bite and his ears are are just adorable and stand erect and his face is so sweet. After reading some of the horror stories on YT regarding pet store pups I feel blessed. Carol & Buddy |

| puppymill/outdoor kennel that breeds multiple diff. breeds. So I like to go with the term puppymill as that fits better. A very sick, unhealthy pup, DOB was lied about. I will be so much more educated when I get another Yorkie. |

| I voted responsible in home breeder but I guess that isn't exactly the case.... I got Bella from a lady that didn't plan on breeding Yorkies. Her husband went somewhere to look at a horse and they had Bella's mom and her 2 puppies that they needed to get rid of for some reason. Her husband knew she wanted to breed Maltese puppies so he bought the mom and the 2 puppies off this family and took them home to his wife. She ended up loving yorkies so much that she is keeping the mom getting a male yorkie and plans to breed Yorkies now. I guess in a way she is kind of a rescue turned in home breeder.... |

| I bought my beautiful baby from "Petland" I love my baby but I did not know of the awful breeding and distribution of puppies when I bought her. We only had home bred dogs before (our Blk Lab 15 yrs old). I will not support or advocate these places "ever" again and will do whatever I can to support the closure of bad breeders and distributors!
