| I would take a 50 lb yorkie. When I was looking for a new dog no. I was looking for a small dog when I decided on a yorkie, but I also didn't necessarily want a "princess" and was drawn to the big dog in a little body attitude. However, now that I've been owned by a yorkie I think I would take a 50 lb yorkie over just about anything else. I love this breed! |

| I have to be honest, if yorkies were 50 lbs I probably would not have one. I wanted a small lap dog, so I researched every toy bread on the AKC list. I was attracted to the yorkie and the papillion. After researching those two, I couldn't help but fall in love with the yorkshire terrier! It talked so much of the personality of this little dog and I love terriers! I had cute, small, and terrier all in one package!

| I will admit that I was drawn to Yorkies partially because of their small size: they are just so darn cute! However, I must say that Joey is the most wonderful dog I've ever had. He's big for a Yorkie (12 lbs), but honestly, whatever weight he was to be: it's him that I want. He is a great dog. Think it has anything to do with all the obedience classes we've taken? Hmmm...

| I was first interested in yorkies because of their size...I love bigger dogs, but it's not fun when they sit on your lap and pin you to the couch (as Gizmo did to me last night), but I LOVE Rocky's personality. I've also met a lot of vicious small dogs in the past (even some who snapped at me), so if yorkie's weren't so loveable I probably wouldn't have ever wanted one. To me personality wins overall.

| I don't like them cause they're tiny but I wouldn't like them if they were big(does that make sense??) I mean I like the long hair and the colors..and that you can carry them. but if they had the same long hair and same colors I probably would think twice before getting one. and I don't like them JUST CAUSE theyre tiny. whoa I must sound like a crazy person |

| I think that a big reason that Yorkies are who they are in personality is because of their size! "Big things come in small packages" I can't think of a single terrier breed that's larger than a Yorkie that behaves much like a Yorkie. |

| If my Yorkies weighed 50 lbs., they would be a serious threat to mankind. I love my kids, but..... Chizzie is so obsessed with playing ball I'm afraid it would be painful when she THREW the ball down at my feet.........and Chattie is such a demanding little priss pot..... |

| I use to be one of those people that thought little dogs were stupid ugly & annoying. I owned a golden retriever which is a wonderful breed. I recieved a pom & fell in love with the toy/tiny size. They are like kids that never grow up. My golden got so big she broke my back every bath. Then after researching breeds I fell in love w/the yorkie. And I'm now a proud yorkie Momma |
