| Both of my yorkies were $1,100, from two different breeders in Connecticut.

| I paid 800, do I get to add in the roughly 6000 I've put into him in the past year for liver shunt surgerys and tests because I got him from an uncaring crappy breeder? I am just a little bitter about it. Not all the breeders fault though, I didn't do my homework before I bought him, but I think God wanted me to have him so I could save him. I don't regret a single cent! He's my boy! |

| I paid $5000.00 and I do not regret it at all. Stella is a stunning very well bred girl. I waited one year and I had to answer so many questions from the breeder for her but I was pleased to finally obtain her. |

| I paid $1,000 for Ferdinand in Phoenix, AZ. Seemed to be about the going rate. Some were less (but not breeders that I would wish to purchase from), and some were more (but seemed to be breeders that were in it for the money). Plus I bought the Puppy Wellness plan at PetSmart which is $99 downpayment and $20/month... so $339 for his first year, but it covers getting him fixed and all his shots and checkups.

| I paid a lot for mine too but I didn't realize they went for more in New York, I live in michigan now but on my last trip in, I stopped at Puppy Petite in Brooklyn, and came home with Sissy. (My Gramma is 97, senile & she went with me, talked me into Sissy and asked me to buy 10!) Anyway, I wanted to ask any of you if you have heard of Puppy Petite (they have a web site) and if so, is that considered to be a puppy mill? I asked them and they said no but I am concnerned for many reasons (how Sissy acts most important of the reasons) but also because I didn't notice until driving away, she did not get her declaws off, nor her tail docked! When I questioned it, they said my agreement did say, for pet use, not for show quality. and it did say that, I don't know how I missed seeing her tail, do I hang a little flag on it now? I don't dare get it docked now-i would think it will hurt really bad as she is 7 months. Well I didn't mind spending the money on either of them, I did mind getting taken twice! My next one will only be purchased from a Yorkie Talker Breeder!!! But I love them both

| Starsky was $500 from a first time litter. I didn't know enough about yorkies as to what to look for. He is at 10lbs now and has long legs!! But he has the best personality I could ever get in a dog!! His sisters were smaller, I think he was a fluke because he passed his parents up,. Shylah was more. I got her at $850. Different breeder. I had told the breeder that I wanted something smaller than Starsky, more in the 5 to 6 lb range and I wanted a girl. What she had was a female that may get to 4 lbs if I am lucky. I was stupid again and bought her site unseen, didn't see the parents or where she lived. But she turns out to be pretty cute and tiny! She looks more yorkie to me then Starsky because she doesn't have the curly hair like Starsky does. She is almost 6 months now and weighs a little over 3 lbs. Both were bought in two different parts of Kansas. I wouldn't trade either one of them for the world!!

| I paid $500 for Mojo.......he is from a show family and well bred. I too had to answer so many questionaires about my family, and just about everything else. I bought him "unseen" in person, but was sent pictures from birth until he was big enough to bring home. I don't regret anything from that experience. And of course, he is worth so much more......and I have spent $1000s on spoiling him. He has always been healthy (expect for one tummy issues - that was food related, Greenies), but I have a very reasonable and wonderful vet!

| I do not know the kennel. But I would like to answer the part of the tail. Many European countried do not dock Yorkies tail anymore. I have heard that some breeders do not dock tail anymore also here in the States. My Stella has long tail and I love it!!! It stands like a flag. Her breeder lives in California but she is European and she shows her dogs here and there, she is not docking her Yorkies tail anymore. Quote:

| I paid $850 for Hobbs and $900 for Hootie. They are brother and sister (although Hootie is from a subsequent litter) from the same breeder here in Alabama. |

Thanks I feel knowing this , she is a total sweet heart but hard to love at first (unlike Chloe) it was like she was never held by humans before or fed enuf, kind of like she was left to fend for herself as a baby and she did not like me loving on her or holding her at all. She is now learning that petting in my lap is fun but she acts like she is starved for food, love & petting now that she knows what they are. I am concerned but it is nothing life threatening.

How adorable , don't you just love it when they pose together. Mine are just starting to but before I had to track them down and the pictures never came out good, unless they were taken separately
