| which breed? Ok, so as some of you may know from a previous thread, my partner wanted a siberian husky dog.To cut a long story short, due to certain factors in our life, we have decided not to get one. (maybe when we are old). So my partner still wants another dog, im jumping up and down with excitement shouting YORKIE YORKIE!!!! He thinks it would be good for us to broaden our horizon and live on the wild side and get a different breed So basically here are some small breeds we are contemplating, i would love your input on my poll |

| Yorkie! Yorkie! You've got to talk him into another Yorkie! But out of the breeds listed, I'd go for a Papi first then the s**tzu. Chiwawa's and Poms can get a little territorial and dachunds have a lot of leg and back problems. Besides I'm not a sporting dog fan... So a Papi if that's your only choices. My picks for a different breed are Affenpinhcer, Chinese Crested (Powder Puff) or Brussels Griffon for a toy dog.

| I would have to say a PAPI also I would say out of your choices, I would get a Papillon. s**tzu are cute too but I heard that they eat their own poo alot..( sorry that is just what I heard, it may not be true) But what about a Maltese? They are like Yorkies but white? They are soo cute too and many on this forum have them.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would say another Yorkie but if you can't then a Papillion. I have a Pom and maybe she is just a badly bred dog but she is not a nice dog. She lives under my bed most of the time and god forbid you try to go under for something, she will bite you and snarl. I can't even wipe her eyes without an oven glove on. She is very territorial a bad barker. I love the look but not the personality of mine.

| Good luck with the search! I can imagine how hard this is going to be..once you finally pick the breed then you got to find the perfect pet..keep us updated on what you decide and post pics!! P.s what about also a Japanese Chin, Pekinese or a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel( 15lbs)?? Those are small dogs and so cute too!

I had a Shih Tzu for 15 years and never had a problem with her eating her own poo. She was a wonderful dog. Their coats are different than a yorkie and take a lilttle more work so, I always kept Precious cut short to help with this.

| Don't forget Pugs, Rat Terriers, etc. You might consider something short-haired in order to save a little on grooming with the second dog. Our Chi needs nothing but a shampoo and nail trim to look good. |

| My Vote was for.... s**tzu. Only b/c my Mom used to breed them. So that's all I grew up with. They are awesome dogs, and excellent personalities. They are a lot of work when it comes to grooming but we used to show also. So that's my take on it. I would have gotten one now but since I grew up with them I wanted to try a different breed of dogs (boxers and yorkies). But I also like the King Charles Cav.....oh and we also had a Tibetan Spaniel (very loyal) Good luck and keep us posted!

| I love Papillions! If I ever get another small dog that isn't a yorkie, it will be a papillion. I also like Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, if you are looking for a dog that is a little bigger than a yorkie. Can't wait to hear what you decide on getting! |
