| My mom taught aurora the command release while we were visiting. So getting her to release a toy no longer turns into a tug of war game. She is not allowed to play tag with her stuff animals. She wants to play tug with them, but I will refuse to play it with her. If she refuses to release, I refuse to keep trying. She only can play tug with her ropes. When we play with the ropes I tell her we are playing tug. She knows other toys by name, so I hope she will learn to get the rope when I say tug. I can tell her go get your horsie and she will bring it to me, even if its downstairs and I am upstairs, same for her monkeys. Only reason I don't want her using her stuff animals is because of the fact she is already really rough on them how it is. Seems like I am always throwing away stuff animals. Now she is destroying the cat's plastic balls with bells in them. She brings it by my feet when she is done, like she is proud.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I just played tug (with Izzy's bunny) this morning while getting ready for work. Ha...I'm trying to get two of her teeth out too...how funny....she gets funny when tugging but never aggressive.....I can always take it away without her getting nuts or she stops when she's had enough. Maybe because she is so little? I haven't a clue.

| No, I don't. I don't want to take any chances on aggression and it is hard on their little teeth. It is tempting, though! They play it with each other enough! |

| Pepper never had aggression issues and loves playing tug o war, when I stop pulling, he always comes back with the toy very close, tries to tempt me even putting it on my lap and pretends to take it away

| Cozy LOVES to play tug of war especially with my Golden retriever. She will bark and growl at him and he sits or lays down to play tug of war with her. When I first got Cozy, Lucky was so excited to have a play mate to play tug of war with that the got over zealous and dragged her throught the house. Note she would not have been dragged through the house is she had just let go. He has since learned to sit or lay down when playing with her. It is so cute this little 10 pound spit fire thinking she can beat a 120 pound golden retriever.
