| Do you keep dry food out all day? I was just wondering how often you feed your Yorkie. I feed Baby twice a day (She's 4.5 months). I leave dry food and water out at all times. At night I give her some wet food and have been mixing cottage cheese in also. If she doesn't eat that within a little while I throw it away. What I really want to know is do any of you leave out dry food all day? If no, why not? Thanks!!!

| I leave it out all day for Lucky because he just picks at it all day. I've tried only feeding him twice a day & then taking up the food, but he wouldn't eat it when I put it down. He just likes to snack all day on it!

| I don't free feed because it is much easier to control elimination(!)and to prevent dominance issues(leader eats first and controls food) and because I do rescue and have 4 yorkies (2 are my own) right now and need to see who eats what! They will balk at first when you try to stop free feeding , but will learn pretty quickly, give them 20 mins. to eat , then it goes away... make it very tempting-iimix in a little baby food lamb... no problems. |

| Jo and Riley get breakfast every morning which is a small portion of wet food and sometimes I mix some dry food in with it. I always leave a bowl of dry food down along with fresh water and they sometimes get another serving of wet/dry food mix for supper. |

| yes I leave dry food available for Lexie at all times. We jokingly call it grazing at our house. LOL. She picks up a few bites and then is off playing again.

| I always have dry down but my gang is very spoiled. I feed them raw (nature's prairie) in the morning and dry in the evening for some and others get wet on their dry food. I always have Innova Evo down but that could last for days.
