| We have had all these Yorkies and the cat since they were babies, so everyone gets along super. The Yorkies all make a game of chasing the cat anytime she comes thru the sunroom....the cat runs, the yorkies hot on her heels.....but if the cat does not feel like playing, she will not run, she turns and faces them all, hisses, and the game is instantly over!! The yorkies know Stacie is not in the mood for an invigorating game of "grabass", so everyone just goes back to what they were doing.....the yorkies very obviously disappointed their friend does not want to play! |

YT 1000 Club Member | We have a cat that is about the same size as Teek. I do not know if Teek has ever lived with a cat before. The cat is outside most of the time and only allowed in my daughters room in bad weather. Teek met her when she was inside for the winter and Teek slowly and calmly walked up to her and she just looked him and slapped him in the face. He ran and hid in the corner of the room until I finished feeding her and then came and got him. Now that she is outside she comes out to see the dogs when they are out there and Teek's little stub of a tail just wags like crazy and he walks up to her. She tries to tip her head down to rub it against him and he backs up because he is afraid of what she will do to him. They get along just fine though. He is such a calm dog though and she is as big as him. They do seem to get along. If he would realize that she is just going to rub on him maybe they would really be close. It is her fault for hauling off and hitting him like that. He didn't do a thing to her. He does try to play with her, but she just looks at him like he is crazy. They are almost exactly the same age (9 years old) as they are only about 1-2 months apart in age.

| Max loved to play with Katrina when he was a puppy. At about the 1:38 mark you will see he "liked" her a little too much! https://youtu.be/HirjxFgiEkU

| We have a very large Persian which we rescued as a kitten 7 yrs ago. Our house sounds just as active as Yorkiemom1. The yorkies all have the same response to our cat. Every now and then Zoey the cat will wander through when the yorkies are snoozing in the sun. They seem to have noooo idea she's mingling among them and she just loves the challenge. But if one wakes up the chase is on!! They aren't being bad to Zoey it all seems more like a game. Shes the teaser. The house feels like a race track sometimes when they get started.

| Yes, the cat really hated Teddy at first but they have grown to like each other. Teddy still doesn't grasp the fact that the cat doesn't want Teddy's nose permanently attached to his butt and, so, he still doesn't seem to recognize that a corrective swat is not an invitation for play. I am hoping that this will improve with time, though! |
