| I would most definitely pay more for the "lap" surgery. Less pain, shorter recovery time and not as invasive as being cut totally open which is major surgery.

| I would do some research, then decide. I have not had problems with reg. spay, but less pain and shorter healing time sounds like a good choice. |

| I found a place near me that does it for only about $100 bucks more than a typical spay but even if were double, or triple I would still do it for my little girl. @ celstu1 sadly there is no alternatve I know of that does not use anesthesia Laproscopic spay still has them under and still removes the uterus and tubes, it just does it through tiny holes and with tiny instuments so it's less invasive (ie: you are not cutting open the abdomen and taking out the internal organs and yanking out the uterus as you would in a typical spay) I was glad to hear I am not the only one crazy enough to spend this kind of money on hoping my baby feels less pain. It's good to know a lot of ou would do the same. In a few weeks I will have to let you all know how the surgery goes

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I didn't know laproscopic was available, but, yes, I'd happily pay double for those benefits. Well, maybe not "happily."

| I personally had laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. What a difference between being sliced open. The healing time is much quicker and there is less complications and scar adhesions. I would definitely pay the extra if Baby weren't already fixed.

| •Pain & Bruising from Blindly Tearing Ovarian Ligament "...blindly tearing ovarian ligament" ? Have been involved in dozens of sprays and have never observed "blindly tearing" ever! That being said I would always go for what was the best for my furbaby. Safest and less pain, infection etc. would not be a cost killer.
