| I'm surprised at how pretty much everyone leaves them in. I take out Uni's clips (no topknot) at night. If I don't, she rolls around like crazy and does the face scoot in the mornings so for sure the clips will come loose and she will rip what few hairs she does have out of her head.

| My two Yorkie's are only 3 1/2 months old. I don't know how "to do" a topknot. Are there any videos or pictures to show me what to do. Where do you find the tiny rubber bands? Thanks!

| Mina just now has enough for a nice topknot. She slept in it last night and I am taking it out tonight,to give her scalp a rest. The soft scrunchies dont stay in her hair. I am going to look for the little plastic hair clips like I used to put in my people girls hair. You can wrap the hair around the clip before you close it,kind of like a curler. |

| All top knots are removed at bedtime and replaced before breakfast.

| Like some others, Piccolo has to have her topknot in at night or her hair would be a snarly mess and she would not be able to see.

| I left one in Jillian's hair one night and the next morning she had taken it out. So they do not sleep in a top knot of their choosing and not always mine. LOL

| I just put Mina's up like I used to do my people girls. She stand on the counter and will put her nose on my stomache,I comb it up,put band in and us either a clip that you squeeze or a regular tiny bow with a metal spring clip (just like my daughters just smaller). As her hair grows I may have to change how I do it,but for now she is only 5 months and the longest hair that she has is on top of her head. |

| I used to take Max's out before bedtime. Letting his hair down and rubbing his head was the fastest way to put him to sleep. Now that his hair is really long, I have to leave it in all night. Same with Teddy, otherwise they would wake up with hair in their mouths, noses, and eyes. We use the tiny scrunchies and the topknots are pretty loose. With Max's eye problems, I have been using the tiny rubber bands to make pigtails and I leave them in all night. The hair is still loose enough not to harm his skin.

| Cooper has been sleeping in a topknot lately but when we wake up the band is missing. I don't want to make the band any tighter. Max always seems to find it and runs off into a corner thinking it's a good chew toy. Ahhh it never ends...
