Questions about male yorkies

I have 3 boys and I ordered a bunch of custom bows before when they were young and still wear pink, purple and blue collars. It is because it is so hard to find cute stuff in males so I just go by what I like and I can always explain why they are wearing pink... LOL.....

I didn't want to do bows because I didn't want people to honk he was a girl. Well... I had Kaji in a really short puppy cut. He was super cute! Yet, everyone always asked me if he was a girl, even though with his short cut his Mr Peeper was really obvious. That's when I decided that it doesn't matter. People will think what they want, make nasty comments if they want (my brother does, and they're really hurtful) and I can't stop them. But I can enjoy my yorkie, and Kaji doesn't mind one bit having his hair up or down and let's me put his hair in a Pony tail, a "ninja knot", and a hairclip.

I think that's what it's all about. It's not something I'm personally ever going to do. For one, Jackson is just such a... boys dog, if that makes sense, LOL. Most people actually naturally assume he's a boy when first meeting him. He's kept with a short cut, muscular and athletic looking, and I guess people just assume boy. Plus I wanted a little boy. If I wanted to put a dog in pink, purple and bows, I'd have gotten a girl, ya know. A bow would like... omg so unnatural on him, LOL!!! Besides the fact that he would absolutely tear one out in seconds. He HATES things on his head. I could never even do a topknot with him. Whereas I think some boy dogs could get away with it. I think it's like people... you know how some guys can get away with wearing pink, well, others just... can't.

Just to clarify, i kept Kaji in a super short puppy cut, where he looked all man and like a puppy, but he was still mistaken for a girl.

personally.. my male is named Kiwi.. which i feel is a unisex name.. but he will have bows.

We socialize ourselves as humans to believe vertain colors and certain traits are assocaited with specific genders... put a human in a room with other unisex humans and they wont "naturally" pick pink as a woman or purses and heels...

actually.. if you didnt think it mae you more feminine... what lady would pick heels.. if she didnt associate them with being a woman? they look torturous!!!

anyhow... dress him how you like... im sure he'll love the attention!

I own over 100 pair of heels and they aren't torturous, they are hot and sexy. and I choose to wear them for that reason. Has nothing to do with feminine or woman-I've seen heels look just as sexy on a man wearing them.

Hot and sexy looking... but why is it considered hot and sexy?? honestly think about it from a blank slate. If you weren't socialized to think that they are sexy and that they are hot... would you still think that??

please i have like 40 pairs of heels.. ill admit i like how they look.. but if someone didn't teach me to believe they were hot and if society didn't think they were hot... I wouldn't think that on my own.. with out any influences.

This is the social psychologist in me which is mentioning this.. but im speaking from a theoretical perspective. If you have your personal opinion then thats great, but the post wasn't about your personal opinion. It was to empower the owner to choose what she thinks looks cute on her baby regardless of what society deems as appropriate for a male dog.

But its great that you love your heels... torturous because you cannot deny that they dont do damage to your foot, because they do... ask a podiatrist.

I thought heels were "hot and sexy" because they create an optical illusion that elongates the legs. That's why I wear them. I'm short, and I like how my legs look in heels.

Another shorty here, and I love heels, and as long as they don't exceed 3 inches I can walk in them like a pro. Put me in 3.5 and I cant stand up strait

But I have a little boy, a few people mistake him for a girl, I assume it's because he is always so well groomed and has long hair (on face and tail anyways). I have lots of bows for him, and love putting them in. Forget what anyone else thinks, if we spent all our time trying to please everyone but ourselves we'd be no-where fast

Do what you wish for your little guy. Rizzo looks stunning in any color, but I stick to uni-sex colors, i.e. blue, green, red, black, brown, purple (in Europe anyway), white, yellow...basically anything but pink. No matter what you do someone will assume wrong on the sex of your pup.
