Carmel is my first yorkie and I was 19 when I got him. I'm now 21 and he is 2!! I can't believe how fast time flies!!

I was 23 years old I am now 55 just got CJ 2 weeks ago and I have Sammee 3yrs old and Tootsie 3 years old.

I was around 4 years old, and am 38 now. I have owned yorkies all my life. Always have been in love with the breed. I got a yorkie puppy when my son was about 4 years old too so he could know the love they give like I had. He is now 12 will turn 13 next year. During this time we have lost Gizmo to a liver shunt, Tenci to collasped treacha, and Pixie to kidney disease. I feel like I am a experienced yorkie owner, but was refused the chance to adopt a special liver shunt survivor from a rescue because I have a "small" child. Sorry to vent, but still trying to understand the logic there.

I purchased my first yorkie when I was 17. Her name was Kristy Lee. I bought her from a local breeder. She only grew to be 2 lbs. as an adult. Her size was a surprise to me. I thought she was going to be in the standard size. She was very special, very small, but she melted my heart. I still miss her so.

I was 55 when I got Roxie. She was a retirement present from the faculty and staff at the school where I taught special education for 30+ years. They had found out that I had always wanted a Yorkie and surprised me with her in front of the whole student body. She is such a joy to me!

23! Just got him too! My boyfriend has grown up with yorkies though so he's pretty used to them. I've always been looking around for one ever since I was younger so the fact my boyfriend was cool with getting such a little doggy made it even better!

My mom got me Gizmo and I was 11. He is my only Yorkie and I love him so much! Even though I am young, he is all mine and I take great care of him!
