I was around 4 years old, and am 38 now. I have owned yorkies all my life. Always have been in love with the breed. I got a yorkie puppy when my son was about 4 years old too so he could know the love they give like I had. He is now 12 will turn 13 next year. During this time we have lost Gizmo to a liver shunt, Tenci to collasped treacha, and Pixie to kidney disease. I feel like I am a experienced yorkie owner, but was refused the chance to adopt a special liver shunt survivor from a rescue because I have a "small" child. Sorry to vent, but still trying to understand the logic there. |
