This website helped me a lot:Dog Tricks! Shake, Crawl, Beg, Kiss, Roll Over, Bow, and more! and of course a lot of patience

I started teaching him commands since he was 2 months old. Maxi will do anything for the treats

Send Teddi over! We will be delighted!

P.S. I forgot to mention Maxi knows the names of his toys too

I love hearing about all the Yorkies who can do tricks. I honestly don't know how they can be so smart with such tiny brains.

Roxy's BEST trick is that she can wake me up from a dead sleep by jumping in my face, do her best "Timmy has fallen in the well Lassie impression", get me to follow her to her potty pad, squirt out the tiniest of dribbles and get a treat for it. If I could train her half as well as she is training me we could take the show on the road!!

LOL. I wonder if our pups have a forum of their own where they ask how many tricks their humans know ...

Good question Mike...I wonder that too!

Maybe TYPING is one of their tricks that you just don't know about yet?

I also think it's funny that most of us that have two or more yorkies...and it seems like the second one doesn't know as many tricks as the first

It's like we spent all that time and effort training the first one, and the second one was just CUTE so we just went with it!

I know that happened for us, so we're working on it so Milli doesn't miss out! But, that is classic "second child/furkid"-the parents get busier when they have two, and start letting the homework go!

My boys know

sit
lay
paw
high five
dance
fetch

Im trying to teach sit pretty and roll over. Those are taking longer, Im not as dedicated. My boys caught onto the other tricks sooo fast! Like in less than a day! Also they know word commands like 'kitchen', 'bed', 'pee outside' & 'brush'. They will go to the kitchen when I say kitchen when we are eating a meal. They will go to the bottom of the stairs to go upstairs when I say bed and then when I move race up the stairs and go straight to bed. They will go to the slider when I say pee outside and they will go to their bag of 'stuff' where I keep the brush when I say brush! smart cookies!

Stedman knows between 6-10

He is my very smart little guy...and he is SUCH a quick learner too! Tatum is the same as V's Cheri - she doesn't know squat

She too would rather just sit there and look cute for a treat!

Okay, I picked 1-5 but now that I've thought about it Winston really knows more than 10. Actually I think he totally understands English...if he starts learning to spell, we're in big trouble.
