Mr. Biggs' isn't potty pad trained....he hasn't gone on one in 2 years, so that wouldn't work for us. lol. Not to mention flights to cali are an arm and a leg coming from Tampa.

ok, we all need to win the lottery or something and then get a charter plane to fly us all in to the meetup - :D

I would love to go to the next meetup.. I am in Ontario.. so if it is west.. But we go to Florida every winter.. drive a motorhome down there.. stay for 6 months.. then have to drive home to Ontario.. we cannot stay longer then that amount of time. So to turn around and again drive to the west coast of the states would not be feesable..Not that it really matters if I go or not.:confused:. I am just saying this for I voted.. but it also looks like things are going to be in the western part of the states...I will have to wait and see where it is as to my commintment..so I hope that is ok..anne

Is the vote going to be determined by how many votes are for a specific COAST or a specific LOCATION? I mean...say there are the most votes for CA, but there are more votes TOTAL for the east coast than the west coast, how will the place be determined?

I believe it will be judged by specific location. But I'm sure the committee will view all aspects before making a final decision.

Thanks, I certainly hope so...I would love to go next year but I can't see myself going all the way to CA. :p

Well I would hope that is not the case since there are 4 locations for the east coast and only 3 for the west coast.. That doesn't seem fair

Oh Anne, of course it matters if you go!!!! I would love to meet you and your gang:D But I'm with you, I can't go all the way to the west coast either.
So I am waiting till the end to vote so I don't cast an unattending vote if its looking 90% out west.

We had to fly from San Francisco to Denver to Kansas City and we flew Stand-by!!(Since I'm an airline employee.) We didn't get on the first flight to Denver and had to wait for 2 hours until the next flight. Brooke is a great traveler. I take her out in the airport and let her sit in my lap. We go to the bathroom and put a weewee pad on the floor if she has to go. There is also a product called Rescue Remedy for dogs. It is a natural floral essence from Bach that acts a stress reducer. You just put a drop or so on the tongue. Also, when I am on the plane I put a blanket around Brooke's bag before I put it under the seat. That way the kennel stays dark and she stays warm because it is usually very cold on the floor. That way she can't see me either which makes her just curl up and sleep until we get to the next destination. Hope this helps!!

The decisions weren't made in KC. It was decided LAST YEAR to alternate central, coast, other coast. That way more people would get an opportunity to go.:) So, since 2008 was Central this year will be on one of the coasts.

Also, the YT Meetup Committee has their work cut out for them. They will never be able to please everyone. Let's applaud them for taking this on.
