Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Does your yorkie pee right after a bath? Wondering if other pups do this. Here is why I ask: Ok I took Zoey out today to pee and then brought her back inside to take her bath. After her bath maybe 4 minutes later I found her in my son's room peeing on his damn comforter that was on the floor. Have you all noticed that your baby needs to pee right after a bath...or could it just be that she was mad as hell I made her take a bath?

| Yes, Baby does. She drinks a lot of water in the tub! But, she can wait until I dry her off.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | She doesn't drink a drop of water in the sink. Matter of fact she stands up with her paws on the counter top. What makes me the most peeved is that she went and peed on his comforter..that was so not called for.

| Does she like the bath? I'm convinced that dogs can be vindictive.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | LOL...oh yeah they can be vindictive. She doesn't like to take a bath. She is resigned but I still have to pretty much hold her with one hand and bathe her with the other....lol.

| Yes, it took me a while to figure it out When I start running the water for her bath, I have to pee and I suppose she does but I would blow her hair dry and she was so wiggley that it hit me one day (things do take awhile for me) So after her bath, I let her down all wet and messy and she runs like crazy to her pee pad to pee.lol Then we start the drying and grooming. She doesn't drink a drop of water it's just that our mind tells us to do that sometimes when we hear water running. Your case may be different but that's what happens to us.

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Gracie used to pee/poop right after a bath and she'd do it while looking at me as if to say, "I'll get you back!!!" Once, we went out of town and took her with us. I gave her a bath in the HUGE tub and right after, she jumped up on the bed and took a pee on my side! Needless to say, I was NOT a happy person! Since she's gotten older, she just takes her bath. Though disgusted...she won't even look at me, she doesn't need to pee or poo right away. Silly dogs!

| Maybe it's a girl thing? I have a boy and he never does this. He doesn't particularly enjoy baths, but he doesn't potty anywhere afterward. I get my new girl in 5 weeks, maybe I'll have to watch out for that. |

| having to pee right after baths... Hi..I am new at Yorkie talk and wanted to say hi to everyone. My Mica and Kali (both girls) do have to go pee right after there bath as well. I take them outside before the bath, after brushing and blow drying they have to go immediately. Maybe it is a girl thing since some of you with boys don't find this to be an issue...lol Cory |

| Hmm, I wonder if it is a 'girl' thing - only Hoku has to pee right after her bath, the boys are fine

| Nope, Winston has never had to pee after bathing. I think there may be something to this "girl thing"...

| Mine don't have to pee right after but they have to poop. I guess because of squeezing the glands. So after a bath with them all wet and straggly they run outside and poop and then run and run and run......
