| I havent ever fed my dogs canned food. Once I decided kibble wasn't the way to go I just switched to raw. On the raw, their poop is firm, dry, and small. My cats have eaten canned though and their poop was pretty normal, although it's harder and smaller on the raw. I would think that any grain-free canned foods would give poops closer to the raw as you don't have the bulk of the grain fillers being pooped out.

| kibble for teeth & nutrition. I use nothing but all natural Sammysnacks.com food & cookies. My nephew eats them too. My vet loved them! Sass had lots of stomach problems with lots of expensive food even from vet. has done great with Sammys. |

| I honestly don't see where kibble does anything to help the teeth. Lilo was fed solely a kibble diet for the first six years of her life. She had been on Beneful first and then was switched to Iams. Then, she was fed Chicken Soup... I think. And her teeth are horrible. There is a lot of plaque on them, some of them are filed down, her teeth are just plain ugly. Chance has also been on a kibble diet most of his life. He was fed raw many moons ago. And, back then, his teeth were wonderful and his breath, also, smelled wonderful. Now that he's been eating kibble (he's on a cheap brand, I admit- when I found out about quality- he was too old to switch. He eats Field Trial.) and his teeth are completely filed down and brown and yellow and ugly. However, Cinnamon has been on a canned/kibble diet all her life and she's four turning five this September and her teeth are beautiful. Sometimes I also brush her teeth with baking soda. And, that helps. Anyway, I feed homecooked to most of my dogs. And, they do great on it. However, I do feed a combination of kibble and canned. They get one can/half can (depending on size) in the morning and in the evening they get some kibble with homecooked on top (still weaning them off) and, if I had to cut one out of the diet completely, it would be kibble. Canned has more nutrients, more protein and my dogs are actually enthusiastic to eat it. |

| kibble for the most part. thats whats in the bowl 24/7 when her teeth were falling out i gave her moist and meaty. but now thats just for treats and snacks. i also get the meat rolls and cut them up and use those as treats. i'm concidering canned. but right now its kibble and soft treats. kibbles just easier to store. |

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Kibble, I believe that it has been shown to decrease calculus formation in dogs, and we are doing everything I know how to do to prevent tartar because it's a serious problem with Yorkies.
