Photo theme weeks

Better late than never? I suggested fireworks and never posted any! I forgot my camera and didn't think iphone photos would come out, so I shot video. Well, my wife shot some iphone photos and did pretty well! These were shot from a boat in the harbor at Seward. It's a series of three shots of the same explosion.

Bear in mind, this was midnight in Alaska. And it actually wasn't as dark as it appears. I think the fireworks influenced the light meter.

I must admit, haven't had a chance to go out and get any, so pulling some out of the vault from the fall...approx. October as evidenced by the trees.

I LOVE Arizona sunrises and sunsets! Maybe the best anywhere! Awesome job.

Do they still publish Arizona Highways magazine? I used to subscribe to that in college just for the photography. There was a guy named Josef Muench whose photographs regularly appeared in there, and they were unbelievable.

alaskayorkie, the fireworks are beautiful. Love the Arazona sunset, and the scenic photos.

Here is a sunset in Kansas. As much as I don't like Kansas for the scenery, it does provide for some spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and you can literally watch the sun rise and fall. These are pretty plain, but I will try to get some dramatic ones when we have clouds. Still can't get the color right though.

Ummm, have you seen my action shots? Not what you want taking pictures ringside. LOL. Your statement caught me way off guard though. I want to meet other YTers, not people who hate this site. I find most everything about this place enjoyable.

OMG, I was SOOO CONFUSED>......doesn't take much with me anymore. LOL

Awesome! It's so tempting to me to just shoot the colors of the sunset, because they are spectacular all alone. But it really makes the picture when you have some shadows or awesome clouds like these. I especially like that second shot. In fact, I'm booking a trip right now to St. Lucia. OK, that's a lie, but it makes me want to!
