Anyone have a DSLR?

I have a canon 10d and canon 5d. I want the newer canon 5d markII. I have 2 canon lenses and just bought 2 Tamron lenses a couple months ago. I also just got a new video camera that can take photos while you are videoing something and it doesnt effect the video at all. It is really cool. It takes great pics too.

I have a Canon right now that's very good, it's got 10x zoom. I'm not sure of the exact model. It's not super tiny but it's not what I'd call bulky, either which is nice. The only thng I'm worried about with getting a dSLR is the size, I don't know how I'd feel carrying it around! Does that bother you guys? Do you keep a smaller camera around, too?

Once I save up enough money, I may invest in the Canon Rebel!

The Nikon D60 is actually very small I think it's the smallest one around.

Oh yes - we have a Canon 40D and absolutely love it. We've had it for about 2 years now and have thought about selling it to get the 50D, but are undecided. We also have a Canon point and shoot for taking quick pictures, but we almost never use it! It is so much easier to find beauty in everything when you have the tools to best represent what you're shooting whether its the sky, tree, or your lovely little furrybutt.

For sure it's bulky to carry around but for special occassions I take it. For places I don't want to lug a camera around my neck I do have a small digitial but it bit the dust and I miss it so a new small camera will be on my Xmas list for sure! I want that new Canon that you can touch the screen does anyone have that one???

Wow I like the size of that one. See? That's why I hate getting new technology early as they keep improving all the time. Mine is bigger and a pain to take around all the time. My girlfriend has the Nikon and I have the Canon and I like the Nikon better not because of pic quality but because size.

Oh and I'm a lens junkie too - I have two..one for close ups and one for distance.

I just got the Canon Rebel Xsi in July and love it. I took an awesome pic of the moon a few weeks ago. Lucky hates the flash. lol......

lol.... It is fun but I wish I knew everything about all the settings. I would love taking a camera class. It took me about 20 shots to finally figure out the right combo to get the moon. lol.... Your pic. looks awesome..

Ahhh Canon or Nikon, such a tough decision. I truly love Canon cameras. But the Nikon looks really good too.

Question, when you first buy the Nikon D60 or the Canon Rebel, do they come with lenses or not? Are the lenses that come with the camera any good or must you buy better lenses to get really good pics? Would the kit lenses be enough for a beginner like myself? Which one is easier to learn? Do any of them have video?

Also, I have the PowerShot SX110 IS Digital Camera right now. And it works very well, it's not a dslr obviously, so sometimes it's a hit or miss with good photos. Sometimes, I get really good pics but I want a camera where I don't have to work as hard to get a good pic LOL. Know what I'm saying??

I just have to decide if it's truly worth it to get one or not. Maybe for Christmas, someone can help me out lol

I can not speak for the canon's But i have the Nikon d60 It does not have video I use my powershot for video. You really don't miss it since your just to busy taking pictures.
I REALLY love it It's a world of difference from the regular point & shoot.

Check my link In my Siggy of my picture's i've take Most of them were taken with the Kit len's. Some of them were taken with My larger len's You won't need to buy more len's But you will WANT to. lol

Google it It's alot faster Type in, Taking picture of ______ With the Canon_____. & it will bring up the perfect setting's.
