Oh boy..here goes...I am 5'4, 20 yrs old...and I weigh 215lbs :( I know...its grossly unhealthy...I was always fat in school. Got to like 160 and was horrified, so I joined the dance team and lost 25lbs. After I graduated it was out of control. I was very, very depressed, didn't care about myself anymore, and moving in with my bf just made it worse since we loved to eat out or stay up late with movies and snacks. Well...I can't believe I let it happen, and its super embarassing, but I need to put it out there. It'll help me stay motivated. It's effecting my health noticeably now. To be in a healthy weight range I have to get to 145. It seems literally out of the question, not doable. So I'll start with 30lbs an go from there... :( I just want to feel healthy and happy again. I've tracked everything I've eaten today and yesterday and I went to zumba this morning but I couldn't keep up..I've never had to stop in the middle of class before. So embarrassing. Hopefully I can keep on track.. |

Carmen, I am 5ft2",after my last baby I weighed 220. Between 2000 and 2001 I lost 100 lbs,so it can be done. In the last 3yrs there has been so much stress in my life and I have not paid attention to what I was eating. Because I had attained some better eating habits I knew when I wasnt making good choises,so I have slowly gained back 20lbs. Know that it CAN be done. Starting out think about the little changes that you can make. If you try to make healthy choises in what you eat and do EACH DAY,the next thing you know you have lost 10 or 15 lbs and it becomes easier, because it is part of your lifestyle. Get a pedometer and set a goal of how many steps you want to take a day,if you do this daily it makes a difference. Work at drinking less or no soda and replacing it with water. I hope for you that today is a successful day, that when you go to bed tonite you will feel as though you have made some healthy choises for your journey in becoming a more healthy person. |

It seems like when I start to do good I end up falling off the wagon. :( My will power is almost nil. I do good all day and then at dinner I try to take a healthy portion...well sad to say I go back for seconds sometimes thirds cause I feel like i'm starving. I just need to get some will power. Anyone got some to spare?lol :D Coffee for me so far. I need to make my Body by Vi shake when i'm done with that. Carmen, I know what you mean about giving up in the middle. Up until last year I was taking Karate with my kids. In the beginning I had a hard time keeping up with one on one sparring. Over time my stamina got better and I just lasted long enough to finish the round. I think if you keep it up, each time it gets better and better. I need to find some kind of exercise that I can find time to commit to. After getting off work at 5pm. I have to help the kids with their homework and cook dinner. I'm too tired to walk let alone get into some kind of exercise program/routine. :( I just gotta kick myself in the bootie to get motivated. |

I think I have to remind myself that I'm not where I was physically, two years ago.. I cant expect myself to pick back up where I left off. I'll get back to that point though!! Soooo lets see..today I had zumbawhen class when I woke up, and jogged a couple miles with Luma. Oh, and I found some sparkling water that is Acai Pom Berry flavored..tastes like soda, without that sickening diet taste  0 sugar, 0 carbs, 0 cal, 0 fat. So maybe carbonation in general is bad and sweeteners are too, but this has to be better than cherry coke, lol! It's a start. I just dont feel satisfied with water. |
Its all about trading one thing for another. I do eat SmartOnes, but I have to add a BIG salad or some other vege with it. |

I will just have to force myself to maybe 1/2 hour a day, a couple nights a week to start off. All in moderation. :D lol :p |

We got an accurate digital scale from Dicks sporting goods |
If your tile floor is uneven or your bathroom floor is carpeted,go to HomeDepot and purchase a small piece of plywood,1/2" or less. This will give your scales a firm foundation to be on. |
I don't know ow accurate ours is either, but it's the kind with the circular gauge. At my dads there is an actual doctors scale. They bought it years ago when my sis was young before I was even born, bc they wanted to track every ounce  I find the digital ones aren't very accurate either. Sometimes is you step on it to wake it up, it doesn't really wake up. |

Ok...It is Monday and today begins my quest to a healthier slimmer me:p I weighed and the scales didn't surprise me...185lbs:( My goal weight is 155 but I will be happy at 160. I can't wait for lunch:D I put on a pot of soup in my crock pot yesterday...ingredients..fat free chicken broth, onions, garlic, hot pepper, red bell pepper, mung beans, black beans, kidney beans and for spices I used a tad of salt,Florida Sunshine spice blend that is so yum and was a gift from my BFF Lisa (Sugarmamma), cumin, paprika and crushed red pepper, oh and the most important ingredient lots of cabbage. I was starving to death smelling it cook yesterday and can't wait to eat lunch. It should be very filling and I know it is very low cal. I also made my version of a low fat corn bread. Corn meal, a tad of lowfat dukes mayo and water..sprayed my cast iron skillet with pam:) |

I am going to search for more zero point soups. I love soups especially now that it is getting cooler. I figure If I make a couple of varieties each week I won't get bored with having them for lunch. I plan on having lots of baked fish and chicken with salads for my supper meal. |

I love 0-1 point soups! Very filling and tasty too. I will sometimes add 10-12 pieces of WW pasta to a bowl to change it up a bit. Not often, but when im feeling the need to cheat a little :D |
Today at the office was hard! One of the ladies I work with always has a basket full of chocolates! I resisted but I am glad I don't have to go in everyday! |
I had to go to the doctors for a physical. The last time I was there was June. My doctor said great job, you've lost 7 pounds since last time you were here! :cheer: |
