No - Tibbe wasn't feelin well so I stayed home with him, trying to stay away from the vet's(have had him there a lot this year).

Oh, I bet your mom's Tiramisu was fantastic! Anytime a recipe is all homemade, it is much better.




I would never substitute Lady Fingers with Twinkies, etc. I want the true taste of the Tiramisu or it would be a waste of my time. I can't wait to find the Lady Fingers. I'm calling our local Big Lots right now. Thanks!
Mother just made Lady Fingers for dessert. She never made Tiramisu - probably had never heard of it. We just had Lady Fingers & hot tea. They were very, very good.

Great simple recipe that I use all the time for my Tiramisu....I make these the day before...you can add almond, vanilla, or other flavoring. My friend uses lemon for a distinct flavor and sometimes orange...or you can just follow the recipe they are all good!

I just looked at the recipe below and they really sound like they would be good, alone, for a dessert!

Thank you for this recipe. I just may have to resort to it. Sounds very easy.

Lila! :D I was in a Farm Shop today....and they had packs of Lady's Fingers on sale, 99p for 24.....I thought of you, and wished I could send you some....:( Sorry! x

I just saw Melissa D'Arabian (hate her:rolleyes:) make an "economy" version of Tiramisu yesterday using pound cake soaked in sweetened espresso. Might work well if you can't find the lady fingers.

No, I haven't found the Lady Fingers yet. I have gone to so many places looking for them. I'm not giving up! lol

You know, I read somewhere that pound cake could be used. I will probably resort to that. Thanks for the tip!:)
