| Brands I don't worry too much about, but with a crock pot, I would get the largest one I could find. I always ran out of room with my first one....

| I agree, get a larger one. And one where the ceramic liner/bowl is removeable - it's so much easier to clean that way.

I bought a large one too, it's this one, I believe it's a six quart .... 00000105131-RivalSmartPotGourmetCrockPot3860WN-large.jpeg I'm finding it's too large. The couple of recipes I've used only fills it up about a quarter of the way. I was thinking of getting a 4 quart one. Maybe I'm expecting it to be too full???

Mine is oval shaped like yours, which I like much better than the round style.

| This is mine: Rival Crock-Pot Smart-Pot 38501-C - Slow cooker - stainless steel# It's a 6 quart... I think 7 quarts is the largest Rival makes. Yes, a removable liner is important too... I think I bought mine at Costco for around $35.00 years ago, lol.

| Is the food supposed to be up to the top???...Whenever I see a picture of a recipe in a crock it's completely full. Mine is only about a quarter of the way or maybe up to half. That's why I think the 6 qt. it way to big for me.

Yeah, a 6 or 7 quart would be best I think. Definitely better having too much room, than not enough.... We had to ration out of a 4 quart for 4-5 people... 2 adults and 3 children.

| I never fill mine as full as you see in those pictures. Usually it's about 1/2 to 3/4 full but I do have a couple of recipes that only fill it about of 1/4 of the way up.
