Evening!

I love this thread - and love seeing pictures (from all over) of people's favourite restaurants....so here goes!

We go to Cornwall a lot and usually stay in St.Ives/Padstow. Our favourite restaurant is The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow owned by one of our most famous chefs Rick Stein. www.rickstein.com is worth having a look at (even the video at the beginning is lovely) - and as for the online shop.... x

Oh yes!! Just my 'cup of tea'!!

Do you know - to me, I don't really care for 'posh' interiors (though they're lovely sometimes). It's the view, and the 'feel', and certainly the staff that make a place. The mood that you're feeling when you leave the place - when you can't wait to go back?

For me as well....and dog friendly (here) means outdoors where I prefer to sit anyways. I keep a blanket in my car so I can wrap up on chilly nights if the establishment doesn't have those ginormous heaters

(on the opposite end of the spectrum, it its summer time I sit by the huge misting fans )

I prefer outside too We have the huge heaters (usually attached to umbrellas) where normally 'the smokers' huddle! We don't have the misting fans though (surprise surprise!). At least, I've never seen them...

So, Padstow's my favourite....2nd best is in St. Ives - www.porthminstercafe.co.uk - it's beautiful there, with more of a relaxed atmosphere than Rick Steins. Hope you like it!

Wow! Looks lovely - and it is expensive (even for here!). I don't really think the cookery courses are that expensive though - not for what you get? Sounds like a really good idea for a birthday or Christmas pressie for you (only 11 months minus 1 day to wait! ) x

Bruce and I rarely eat out, but one of my favourite places is The Yellow Dog Cafe - although it has been several years since Bruce has taken me there. (He has a bigger appetite than me and he doesn't think they put enough food on the plate for him - it is a "fine dining" place) Prices run around $25-$35 each, but worth it.

Another place I like is "The Shack" - great seafood place on the river. You can get anything from a Delixe hamburger for $6.95 to a Surf and Turf (Lobster Tail and Prime Rib) for around $34. (They have a great Liver and Onions for $9.95)

If we ever get to Tallahassee again I love the Silver Slipper.

But mostly I love to eat whatever Bruce cooks
