| I think you'd be a great home for a yorkie. You're at home all day and have grown kids, and it sounds like your large dogs are very well behaved. Lacy has played with a lot of big dogs too and usually gets along well with them. I would just never leave them alone unsupervised just in case...just because a large dog could accidentally step on the yorkie. Other than that, I think it would be fine.

| Stewie has two older, much bigger brothers now. Everything is going well so far. Stewie beats up on Wilson a Luka a lot if anything - not the other way around. Welcome to YorkieTalk! Good luck

| Hi Joan and welcome to YT!! I'm up here in Phx and when I got my first yorkie I was in the same situation you are right now. I brought Teddy into a home with 2 Labs that were both over 100 pounds each. He did fine and they both did fine with him. The only problem you may have that I can see is once you get the one you may like me end up feeling bad for him/her because they are small and don't have a play mate which led to Toby which lead to Hanne which lead to Indigo...lol! Catch my drift? They are very very addicting! Good luck to you!!

| we have 3 labs all under 4yrs old, they are outside dogs, and one jack russell terrier thats inside also 2yrs old and Wicket the yorkie 7 mos. I have no problems with the labs they are very laid back dogs, and seem to know to be careful around wicket, wicket on the other hand thinks he is as large as they are and tries to play with them, they just back away, the jack russell is another story the labs treat her as if she a lab, rough and tumble play, jack russell is also very gentle with wicket, they seem to sense he's a little fellow and not to mess with him. |
