| Patches of Hair Missing - HELP! Thursday morning I noticed that Codie had 1 small patch of hair missing. I checked the area and it was a little red but nothing too serious. So I didn't take him to the vet that day but I made sure to keep an eye on it. Then Friday after work I saw another patch of hair missing. Jim and I rushed Codie to the vet -- my vet knows me by now. I'm the PARANOID puppy mama! LOL! But I can't help it. Ever since I lost my Katie, I've been EXTRA careful and cautious when it comes to my babies' health. But I digress ? Anyway, the vet said it looks like the hair was chewed off. He said it could be an allergic reaction to food or maybe shampoo/conditioner that is making Codie itchy. I checked all his food and treats and there are NO ingredients in it that should trigger an allergic reaction. Same goes for his shampoo and conditioner. So Saturday, we were all sitting on the couch watching TV when I looked down on my lap and saw Cali sitting on top of Codie's back and CHEWING off his hair!! Codie didn't even care. He just sat there and let her do it!! I immediately stopped her and said NO. What can I do about this? Obviously she is doing this during the day when Jim and I are at work. I wish Codie wouldn't let her do this but he could honestly care less!! He's so easy going -- nothing ruffles his feathers. As of this morning, Codie has FOUR patches of hair missing (by his left leg/side)!! EEK!! What should I do? I'm at a loss here. PS - Someone suggested that I seperate them or put Cali in a crate but that is just an acceptable option for me. I don't use crates and it would be unfair to keep Cali in a seperate room away from Codie and Tia. All 3 of them would cry their little eyes out. They usually sleep on top of each other in a tight little ball all day long. I couldn't possibly seperate them. HELP ME PLEASE!

| Wow Jen, that is a tough one. Poor Codie bear. He is so sweet, I hate that he's being bullied. Though Maybe it doesn't hurt him, or maybe it feels like a grooming or something. Not sure. I know this sounds kind of weird but what if you rubbed some deodorant on his fur, not enough to get to his scalp, since he's kind of fuzzy. But just enough that when Cali tries to lick, to get to chewing then she won't like the taste That is the only other option other than seperation, that I could think of. I wouldn't want to use the deodorant spray or bitter apple, cause that might irritate his scalp, but jsut reg. deo stick, rub it in your hands and just gloss over his coat and see what happens. Poor baby give him auntie kisses for me.

Someone suggested that I put pajamas on him during the during the day and totally ok for the winter. But what do I do once the spring/summer comes and it's warm? He can't walk around in flannel pajamas for the rest of his life. LOL

| ohhh thats funny in its own way but not for poor codie, maybe you can try the deodarant, i know the frankster likes to chew the corners of the cabinets and my sons hope chest but he absolutely hates perfume or like body works body spray so i spray some on the corners or where he likes to chew and he just sniffs and sneezzes and walks away, its so funny when i get ready int he moring he likes to bite on my toes and so i am done and i grab the spray to spray myself and there he goes running away, and if you have him in the rorom with you and he has no where to go he hides his head under the blankets and hides form the spray sometimes i dont spray it but i tease him with it and he hides his head, but usually i make him leave anyway i dont want any doggie asthma attacks or anything, but hopefully something helps maybe the jammies would help and she will soon get tired of it and forget about chewing on him, i dont know but shes a one smart and silly cookie ill giver her that one, i am just inagining her sitting there chewing on him like a piece of chicken bone, silly girl
