| Thank you guys for the prayers. Its almost 8 am here and I am sitting by the phone waiting for the vet to call. My fiancee couldnt even talk last night he was so upset. Tribute, my yorkie has attatched himself to me. When we got Dutchess she was getting attatched to Jon. She is his girl. He said its not my fault, but part of me feels differently. Why did I not look for her better, I thought that the two were behind the couch playing. I fell asleep last night from pure exhaustion. I woke up puking. I am just so upset. The vet says with burn like this she might die from shock. She is only 3lbs. She was so helpless. I just hugged her and cried on the way to the vet. I am glad it didnt get in her ears or face. I just wish I could do yesterday over again. I will keep you guys updated.

| The vet just called me. Stated that Dutchess done good last night. They are giving her fluids and pain medication. Giving her antibiotics thru IV. Stated that time would tell. Asked if I wanted to come get her, that she could come home. I told him I rather her stay there. Even though I am a nurse, I cannot handle my little baby crying if she had pain or crying to get out and play. I know that dont stay there 24/7 but they can give her better pain control and do the dressings. He said he would watch her and call me with any changes. I dont know if I should bring her home or not. I dont think I can handle seeing her in pain. God be with her and pray she recovers. I dont know what I will do if she doesnt. Please everyone pray for Dutchess and my family. She is our little baby.

| There is NOT usually 24 hour duty at a Vet's office on the weekend is there???? I would ask about that, otherwise she will be by herself at some point......I think I would bring her home and crate her....... But, you may have a great vet that will take her home with him..... |

| No there is not 24hr care. I am on call this whole weekend at work and can go in at anytime. He said she will be checked on and they can keep the IV in and give her stronger pain medication. Also he is keeping her in a clean sterile enviornment. I have another dog and cats. I think at least there she can get the continous fluids and antibiotics she needs. He doesnt want me to touch the dressings, so at least he can watch her. He is a good vet, they are open until 5 today and then he said he will come in tomorrow to see her. I feel safer with her there. I think its for the best. I will go see her today and then Monday I have asked off early. Just pray for Dutchess.

| So sorry to hear about Duchess. Saying prayers that she will be healed soon. Accidents happen all the time, so don't beat yourself up. Take care of yourself.....she will need you when she comes home.

| Bringing our baby home or not is always a tough decision... On one hand, she will be on IV at the vet which will keep her hydrated, and medicated. On the other hand you want her home! Trust your instincts on what will be in the best interest for your kiddo. Is your vet open on Sunday? Would you be able to get her tomorrow with out any problems? If so, one more night at the vet may be good for her. You are a nurse so ask yourself this... if this was a human child who got burned, would the doctor send the child home? Please keep us updated!
