African butterfly fish are really cool & weird looking. Have you seen a dragon fish? They are soooooo strange looking and it was my favorite freshwater fish. If I start it again(which I am sure I will) I may convert it to a turtle tank becasue I LOVE turtles or I will do dragonfish again. Here is a picture of my dragonfish that passed away: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...5&d=1114588209

| I am sorry you lost your fish friends. It is hard to believe how attached we can get to our fishies. I have a beta that has been with me for 2 1/2 years. I know he is getting old..... and I worry about him. ![]() There is a crystal clear pond over which the Rainbow Bridge crosses. Your fish children are swimming in that pristine pond. |

| So Sorry to hear of your fish It could've been something in the water if it was clean and everything. I would go to your fishy store and ask, and bring everything you used with your fish, and maybe a sample of the water so they can test it.

| AWWWW...I am sorry to hear about your fish....I understand how you can get really close to fish....we have had many fish funerals around our house over the years. I hope you will continue with your tanks...it is a real gift to be able to keep it running and it sounds like your fish lived a long time.

| Aww Shana, I'm so sorry. I remember this one black fish I had -- he was just a regular guppie -- but he lived 3 years!! His was chubby and loved to eat, so we named him Porky. He was literally a porky and a food hog! My mom use to have to hold him back with a spoon to give all the other fish a chance to eat first because he'd eat all the food right away. He also would pick up stones (the decorative little stone/pebbles on the bottom of the fish tank) in his mouth and try to eat them and my mom would have to take him out of the tank, lay him on his back and remove the stone with a tooth pick. He was the funniest fish ever and I loved him so much! I was so sad when he died. ![]() I'm sorry you lost your fish.

Omg, your guppy sounds so funny, he had quite a personality! Well I think later this week Im gonna start the process of changing my tank to a turtle tank. The only turtles they sell around here are red ear sliders. When I was growing up we had a softshell turtle in a tank and he was awesome. I lvoed him so much. His name was tommy turtle. I wish I could find a turtle like that.

| I have an aquatic turtle and he is always escaping out of the tank. I have to keep two filled waterbottles over the lid or he gets out. The dogs go crazy when they see him on the floor
