I am so very upset for you, I was always thinking about how quickly he would grow to be like your beloved Roscoe. So sad that he had to leave you so soon, what a beautiful little bear he was.

Thanks, we definitely enjoyed the time we had with him. He reminded us a lot of Rosco

Oh my God, that's so devastating to read. I got a good laugh about the rivalry between Dixon and Joel and was coming to YT to see if you had any new pics of your boys.

When I saw the thread title I just thought he and Joel were still fighting and that this would be a light thread.

Hugs, and I'm so sorry you had to lose two great pups in Rosco and Dixon in such a short time.

Oh Rachael, I am just seeing this thread. My heart breaks for you and Joel. I am so very sorry you and Joel have suffered another loss. I am sorry you had to make this difficult decision again so very soon, to let Dixon go.

From the autopsy they found a blood clot in his pulmonary artery that was obstructing outflow, which then caused a dilated cardiomyopathy. The cause of the clot was a small lesion on the pulmonary artery that may have been due to a bacterial infection
They're still going to do more tests.

I am so sorry that you have lost Dixon so soon. I loved your beautiful pictures especially the fourth one where he and Joel are both walking the same way, best buddies. I am so sorry he had to leave so soon but he had a wonderful family to be with. My deepest sympathy God Bless the new angel Dixon R.I.P. sweet boy.

How are you and Joel holding up, Rachael? This place was one of my rocks when I lost my pup Minnie and was just shattered. I love that you posted some really sweet pics of Dixon. I never knew how precious pics of my pup were until I couldn't take any more. But you're smarter than me, and have captured some really good memories in the short time you guys were together.
