|  Just got back from his appt. They decided the best thing to do was put him to sleep.  I'm so sad because it happened out of nowhere. His vet said he looked so bad since she saw him 2 days ago and it was the best thing for him, and even she was crying. She said she'll do an autopsy for free because she is so curious as to what happened. I'm so sad, and poor Joel lost another friend, they just became best friends too. |

| Rachael, I am very sorry you and Joel have suffered another loss. I am sorry you had to make this difficult decision again so soon, to let a pet go. Rest in peace, sweet Dixon.

| I am sooo very sorry for you and Joel, loosing another buddy so very soon.....and for that poor baby, who has gone on to Rainbow Bridge way too soon........keep the breeder appraised about the autopsy results.....this should be a red flag for her and the pup's parents.....this combination produced this congenital issue....while they may be great dogs with other partners, the combination of these two produced a problem......red flag! |

| Thanks everyone. The breeders vet, emergency vet and their regular vet all said how rare this was and it was just a matter of time before it happened and that it wasn't the breeders fault. |

| Oh no! Just seeing this. Rachel, I am so sorry to read about poor Dixon and I am just in tears thinking about you and Joel going through this. Poor Joel must be so confused, and I just have no words other thsn I will keep you in my prayers.
