				   | Glad his bloodwork came back good. Sometimes the food at the bottom of the bag can get moldy... depends on how it is handled and stored... from manufacturing to home.

				   | Teri, I just saw this post about Shelby-Dale. I am so sorry he has not been feeling well. Hope you can figure out what it is. Initially I was thinking some kind of allergy and with the photo you posted, I was also thinking ringworm. Hoping the meds the vet gave for the rash clears that up. I would consider changing his food to a non-grain/gluten free food. We have been feeding Spot's Stew but just picked up samples of 4 Health. Whatever is keeping Shelby-Dale from feeling well, I hope the cause is discovered soon and he is back to his old self soon! Keeping y'all in my thoughts and prayers.

				   | Just checking back to see how the vet visit went. Glad the bloodwork is ok. I'm with the others that have suggested changing him to gluten-free anyway, just to see how he does. As I have said before, Huey used to vomit for no reason several times a week when he ate Purina one, but once we changed to BB Freedom grain free, that stopped completely. Shelby Dale may just be developing a sensitivity to glutens without actually having any type of true diagnosis like Celiac disease. I hope he feels better soon!

				   | Hey y'all. Well, he seems to be getting better. He pooped this morning for the first, and still only, time since Friday. He has eaten dinner, reluctantly and late, for 2 nights in a row. No more throwing up and he's been off the cerenia sinc Friday. He still isn't eating as much as normal so I am hoping that's why we have lack of poop. I am definitely transitioning him over to grain free...gotta do it gradual as this is the only food he's ever eaten in all his 4 years.

				   | Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'm still not satisfied that he's 100% but hubby thinks he is. He is running full force and chasing motorcycles, the mail truck, and squirrels. And, he pooped where I could see it last night and it looked perfectly normal. So, I know he doesn't have a blockage. He has not thrown up any more. BUT, in my opinion, he is still not quite himself (energy wise) in the evenings. And he is not eating 1/2 as much as he had been. I changed him over to blue buffalo (which is gonna put me on ramen noodles to counteract the cost lol). Anyway, I said, I will wait to see if it's the antibiotics affecting his appetite. He has a couple of more days on them. Then, if nothing else changes, I'll take him back to the vet. I'm probably being that crazy dog lady at this point..hubby thinks I am...but I know my boy. He's not 100% himself but I'm praying the vet is right and it's the antibiotics.

				   | So, update. After $60 for a 30 lb bag of Blue Buffalo, which will MAYBE last a week and a half lol...last night he ate all of his food in one sitting, he pooped this morning, and hubby said he ate all of his breakfast (this part is huge because he hasn't eaten breakfast in a week). Not sure what I'm going to do. That is an enormous amount of money on just food, but I swear it was the best $60 I ever spent. I'm going to finish this bag out and go from there. I may have to start cooking for him myself, but I am not much of a cooker. The only alternative is me and hubby eating ramen noodles from now on. I'm game but I'm not so sure he will go for it. We'll see. Our babies come first to both of us and I think after this morning, even hubby sees that it was money well spent.

				   | When feeding the premium foods, they can eat less and get better nutrition... check the feeding instructions on the bag. 1 cup of Purina may equal 1/2 - 3/4 cup of BB. You can also add about 20% of veggies to help him feel full.
