Morgan I am so sorry that the time has come for you to let Coco go. What you are having to do is so hard, as I know we just went through it with our son's 17 year old cat. It is the ultimate gift of love, but it is also the hardest thing as a pet owner that we all face at some point in time.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Morgan; my most heartfelt sympathies to you and your family. You have made the hardest decision that any pet owner must.

Coco has been well loved by you and your family.

I too am facing the same thing. In addition to our 3 Yorkies, we have a 14 yr. old Blue Heeler. Our Red Heeler passed away Dec. 28th of 2011. Since that day, we have been Pepper's constant companion. Some days she can barely get outside, so we help her with a log carrier. It's like a sling around her mid section. With my husband and I being senior citizens, it's very hard to lift her. Everything that Coco is going through, we too are experiencing. I can only pray that Pepper's last days will be ones of comfort and peace. I've had to make the decision before, and it's something I wouldn't wish on anybody. You will know when it's time. In our home, we don't think it's time yet.

Thank you it's really hard for us to come to terms with it but I know it's best for her.

I am sorry that Pepper is having the same issues as Coco. It's so hard to watch them go through this especially since they were so full of life before. I know that Coco is ready she doesn't have much life in her eyes and she doesn't respond to touch at all anymore. She has been so well loved and I take comfort in knowing that we have given her so much happiness just as she has given it to us. I will pray for your family and Pepper.

Morgan....what can I say? You gave your darling Coco THE very best life ever and you're making the ultimate decision for HER, being totally self-less, because it's what's best for her.

My heart is bleeding and totally breaking for you, I'm so sorry and you're ALL in my constant thoughts and prayers. Keep strong my friend. Sally x

Thank you Sally. I was just telling my husband that it makes me so sad to see her this way but also so sad to think of what we have to do. I have been at work all day crying off and on. I know it's best for her. Thanks again for your support.

Morgan, I understand how you feel. We went through the same heartbreaking decision last year with our beloved 15 year old Boo the Boxer. She was truly a member of our family -- in fact I consider her our middle son's sister .

Although you have so much grief in your heart, try to be strong for the next few days, for Coco's sake. Coco is still with you and she can sense your emotions, try to make her last few days happy ones. Spend as much time as you can with her, just loving her. Sending healing prayers and hugs for your family and friends during this very difficult time.

My son this morning was petting her and said Coki it's your brother Isaiah Such mixed emotions with it all. She is really out of it not responding to our touch or anything. We are spending as much time with her as possible and other family members are coming over to be with her as well. Thanks for your kind words and prayers.

Today is the day that we are letting our sweet girl Rest in peace and ending her suffering. I got a call yesterday from a different vet at the same practice to give us the results of her urine sample last week. She has a bacterial infection and the vet mentioned it could be a sign of something worse like bladder cancer since we have not been able to clear up the issues for the past 4 months with antibiotics. That gave me a little more comfort knowing we are doing the right thing for her.

Please keep my family in your prayers tonight will be so hard for us. Thank you all.

Oh Morgan, I've been thinking about you all, all day. You ARE doing the right thing....I know it feels like we're playing God, but it's truly in dear Coco's best interest. Will be thinking of you, and you'll all be in my prayers tonight. Stay strong. Sally x

Just now reading this. I'm so sorry it has come time to say goodbye. Sweet Coco had all a dog could ask for - a wonderful home with other dogs to play with, loving owners and great care all her life. She had it all! She can go to her reward in the arms of those who love her as one of the supremely blessed ones. All dogs should have it so good. Morgan, you have given her your all and now you are sending her on her way with love, peace and kindness, caring to the last. Well done. I hope your heart is at peace even though it is broken. Tibbe and I send you {{e-hugs}}.

Thanks Jeanie I appreciate your kind words. We are focused on what's best for her and the 13 wonderful years we shared with her. She will be missed but we know it's right.
