Thank you I am so glad Wylie is doing great

It's amazing the difference in her after just a month. She has such a hard time walking, drinks water constantly and is very lethargic. I know she is a senior but I hope with a diagnosis we can at least treat this to make it easier for her.

Just sent you a PM response about Coco

. Omg, Wylie drank and drank and DRANK pre-diagnosis...and peed and peed and PEED. It got much, much better after his treatment began.

Btw, they don't think Diabetes insipidus is possible do they (different from the typical diabetes mellitus)?

Just an update on Coco.....the testing they did last week was borderline so she is going back for a low dose sex test tomorrow and will be there all day. If the Vet doesn't give us the answers we need I have spoken to a specialist and we will take her there. Thank you everyone for all your well wishes! I want to especially thank you Ann you have been so great with information and helping me work through all of this. I really appreciate it

I checked both the diabetes insipidus and mellitus and she doesn't exhibit the symptoms like she does for Cushings. I am hoping the test tomorrow yields a diagnosis. Thanks again

Just wanted to give an update....Coco does have Cushings. We also took her today and she has a UTI

Once she finishes her medicine for that she will start her taking medicine Cushings. Thanks again to everyone

Sorry so much on my mind....Once she finishes the medicine for her UTI we will start treating the Cushings.

My vet thought my last dog had it. She was around 12 and he didn't recommend testing because she had lots of health problems. There is treatment for it from what I was told.

Oh poor Coco. I'm sorry to hear her diagnosis but glad you know now . Cushings is so frustrating, my lillymae has cushings & is now on Anipryl for it as the Lysodren was not relieving her symptoms. I'll be praying you find her rite med & dosage quickly so she feels better fast.

I know my vet mentioned not treating her because of her age, but she has no other health issues aside from arthritis which is manageable. They did a full panel of bloodwork, x-rays and urine sample which didn't show anything other than her current UTI and Cushings. I told the Vet for our sake and hers we plan to treat her. Once the UTI is cleared up we will start the meds for Cushings.

Another Coco update...she has been on her UTI meds for 2 days and WOW I can see a huge change! I am starting to wonder if she hasn't had a UTI longer and that is what's bothering her too. She went to sleep last night at 10pm of course with Mommy and Daddy and I had to wake her up this morning at 9am to go out! For the past month she has been getting up several times at night to drink water and go out. I know UTI's can be painful and she seems to be so much more comfortable now

Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we can start treating for the Cushings. Thank you all again
