| I'm worried about Lucky. We took Lucky to the vets on Monday evening. Sunday late afternoon I could tell he wasn't feeling well but couldn't pinpoint what was wrong. Monday morning he's very slow, breathing just a little different and his pee looked a horrible color, like used motor oil with blood in it. We took a sample of his pee to the vets. Vet said he's only seen one other pee sample look that bad and it was from a cat. The vet felt his bladder area and listened to his heart. Took a big x-ray of his bladder area and heart cause the vet said his heart sounded a little different. X-ray showed no bladder stones but the heart part of the x-ray the vet said was a little hard to read. Gave us antibiotics and said if he's not better by Thursday to bring him back. Lucky has an appointment tonight at the vets. He's I'd say maybe 20% better but still very slow and not himself after almost 4 days of antibiotics. Were going to take another pee sample in tonight also. I'm so afraid the urinary bladder infection has maybe spread to his heart. Which I AM going to mention to the vet tonight and maybe ask for another x-ray just of his heart. I have been saying prayers for Lucky. But if you can, I would appreciate any "get well" prayers you can give for Lucky. I am so worried about him. Thank you in advance for any prayers you can say for him. __________________

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep Lucky in my prayers. Maybe your vet can refer you to a specialist if he isn't better soon.

| Update on Lucky. Lucky's vet appointment wasn't till 7:30 last night and till we got out of there and home it was almost 9 o'clock. We took another pee sample in. OMGosh, his urine was hardly any better at all. The vet checked to see if he was dehydrated and listened to his heart & lungs again. He was a little dehydrated and still sounded a little congested. (Which I think was making him sound weird when he breathed.) They gave him intravenous fluids last night and a shot for upper respiratory infection. They changed his antibiotics to Clavamox. The vet said most dogs usually respond to the other antibiotic Lucky was given but it didn't do anything for Lucky. The vet said that Lucky should improve pretty fast on this medicine, which is stronger than the last antibiotic. He also suggested getting Pedialite (spelling?) or GatorAid for Lucky. Today after work, I'm going to stop and pick up some Pedialite for him. Has anyone ever given that to their furbabies? I want to "Thank" all who posted for their care & concern for Lucky's health. I appreciate that!!!
