| lab group rescue Does anyone have any affiliations with a lab rescue group? I am having a time trying to find one close to me. I am fostering a black lab that our local police picked up. I know soon they will come back for to put her down. That is what I am trying to avoid!! They usually hold dogs for five days before they put them down and she is way past that. So, if any one can hook me up with a group that does lab rescue or all breed rescues, that would be great.

| I really need some help with this situation. If you have a lab or all breed rescue contact, please respond.

| Check out www.petfinder.com and look for rescue groups in your area. All rescue's policies vary- some only take dogs from death row at the shelters, some take owner turn ins, etc. Hopefully one will be able to help you, unfortunately labs are one of the breeds that are most abundant in shelters, so most lab rescues stay full. If you could continue fostering her you may have better luck finding a group to help you. They could list her on PF and maybe help with vetting costs and adopting her out. If you are able to continue fostering her, mention that in your email, you'll def. get more replies. Good luck.

| Thanks for your reply. I finally found one lady in Missouri associated with lab rescues. I will keep trying to get ahold of her. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to this post. Thanks

| What is the update on the lab? Is it not allowed to find a forever home for her?
