Good evening yorkiesmiles... |
I haven't been around much since the beginning of the week. Does anyone know what happened with Emma? I keep thinking about this little one & I know there was hope to get gere on the move to a new home or at least foster sitaution |

My son and I drove to pick Emma up for a woman that lives here. I had her for a couple of weeks till her new owner came back from CA, then drove her to her new home. Emma is the sweetest, most loving dog. I fell in love with her. I cried the 40 miles home after dropping her off and I still really, really miss her. Her new mom totally loves her, too. :) She teaches at a college, but on the internet so she is home a lot with Emma. She goes to a near by doggie boutique and gets things to spoil her new baby. Cindy (Chattiesmom) was so wonderful to make a harness for Emma before we went to get her so she could be buckled into the carseat on the long drive home. I ordered it expecting to pay but Cindy made it a gift for Emma. :luvu: What a sweetie. So, hopefully Emma will be with her new mom forever and if she can't be, she will be coming back to live with me. |
So, does anyone know what is up with Susie? Has anyone heard anything at all? Is there a thread anywhere else about her recovery???? |
Know what? My 20 yr. old son is moving to FL in less than two weeks. :(:(:( My baby is going to be 1600 miles away from me. His job transfer went through ok and he found an apartment. I am going to miss that stinker SO much. He says he will be staying down there for a year, but time will tell. He is driving down alone - so any of you that believe in prayer, will you please keep in yours? He is planning on leaving on the 18th or 19th of this month. He will be living and working in Palm Bay. At least once in the next year I will be going down to visit him and he is already planning all the things we're going to do. LOL I think I'm a little bit jealous... |
Hey there...No I haven't heard anything about Susie...her surgery was on the 24th, I hope and pray all is well. I bet you're going to really miss having your son around...but you'll have a great vacation getaway, better start planning and packing now!!! Hope he has a safe trip...I do believe in prayer, and will keep him in mine. Also, I do hope he does well there, and that it was the right thing for him to do at this time. Jobs are so hard to find these days...I'm still looking, not too hard, but I wouldn't turn down an offer... |

I got home yesterday and Tink came home this morning. I was doing so well in rehab they let me go two weeks early. YEAH me! The pain is a little tougher with this knee but all things considered, I'm not complaining. Walking is a bit of a challenge, but I'll get it figured out - just need to get the muscle strength built back up in that leg I think. I see the surgeon tomorrow to get the sutures removed and for a check-up. I'm expecting good news. Physical Therapy will come to the house twice a week for a couple of weeks until I get off the pain meds and then, I can drive myself to Outpatient PT. Tink and Webster finally became buddies the second week and now she misses him. She sits in the window and watches. She misses Bill too. He didn't have time to teach her to walk well on leash (he travels alot), but he said she was a good girl and he thought that if I got her some training, I would be able to walk her myself once I heal. I'm happy to hear that! So, I'm gonna get something scheduled for later this summer. |
Oh ok.. sorry. I have not heard about that drama. ;) |
Susie!!! Gosh we've missed you here...So very happy to hear that you and Tink are both home at last. Surgery must have went well...and rehab is coming along. This is all such great news...I was worried, but I've been praying for a great outcome. Tink finally warmed up to Webster...I knew she would...these things take time. I bet she was thrilled to see you again...and you see her. Enjoy some quiet time together...and this summer you'll be out walking with her, I just know it! Welcome back Susie, it's just not the same around here without you!!! |
Susie, I'm so glad you're home & early at that!! YEAH :cheer: The other knee - I did know it would happen sometime, I just didn't know now. I'm sure Tink was excited to be reunited with you. Prayers for your healing & rehabilitation are being added to my prayer list |

Glad you are back home and back online. :) |
Hi, just checking in. Don't worry little big thread, the weekend is upon us and usually people come to see you more on the weekend. WE don't let you starve. It will be OK, I promise. Tink is such a clingy baby since she came home. She doesn't want me to be out of her sight. She's even back to taking a shower with me. She just hops into the tub and sits under my shower chair until it's her turn to get all soaped up and clean. Silly little girl. She's the cleanest furchild in the country.:p |
That's funny, Winston likes to come in and shower with me too...most of the time he doesn't really need a bath, so I just wash his feet...but he still runs around with the zoomies, rolling and flopping, afterwards trying to dry off and get that good smell off. |
I love the shower stories! Roxy will run & hide if I want to bathe her. When, I used to have Bichons, my 1st little Bichon girl would jump in the tub when I was taking a bath :p - what surprise the 1st time it happened! |
So glad that you and Tink are back to your regular ole' selves!!! Hope the therapy goes well.........sounds like Tink is trying to be a real mommy pleaser. Once she gets the idea of how to walk on a leash, you will be therapy for each other. (((HUGS))) |
Here's a little Tink-story for you. Sunday morning I woke up in lots of pain. I had slept through the night (about 6 hrs.) which was wonderful, but that meant I missed my pain pill. I woke myself up moaning and felt something wet on my eyelids. When I finally woke up enough to realize I was making noise, I also realized that Tink was laying next to my head with her paws on my face licking my eyelids with furor. I don't know what she thot that would accomplish, but it did get me up and into the kitchen to get pain meds! I just thot that was so precious and it made such a sweet visual when I thot about how it would have looked to someone else. My little furfriend. What a sweetie she is. I'm so happy and thankful to have her. :) Carol, I believe her frog has been replaced by the squirrel (the Skineez)you sent her. The frog still lives in her crate, but she doesn't play with it much outside of the crate. But the squirrel! Oh my, she will play with that thing for 30 minutes at a time - racing through the apartment with it dragging behind her and squeaking it's little head or tail as fast as her jaws will move. It's hilarious! Eventually she brings it to me and we have to play with it together for abouit 10 minutes. I squeak the tail and she squeaks the head and we have to take turns. Then we have to switch ends and start over. You would laugh your face off it you saw us. What a blast!:D |
Tink you are your mommy's girl...what a little stinker you are. Yes, I can just picture it, Tink trying furiously to kiss you awake...she was helping!!! And yes, I'm having another visual...of you and Tink squeaking either end of the squirrel...then changing ends. LOL, that is too funny!!! |

Miss Tinkerbelle has horrible Spring fever! Yesterday and today she was bounding about the little tiny front lawn like a little spring lamb. It was so funny. And she runs around head-butting everything - EVERYTHING! Me included! And looking for any object that makes any kind of noise to play with - of course I have to play with it with her! But she has an ear that has always given her some problems and it is being a realy bother to her now. It doesn't get infected, but it gets full of fluid and I have to put cotton balls or swabs in to soak up the fluid every day. She shakes her head and digs at it. Poor little thing. The vet doesn't seem concerned about it but I am. I think I'm going to call Peter tomorrow and talk with him about it. I never have asked him about it - just done what her previous vet recommended. But given his history......:( |

Hey lil' thread...looks like it's been awhile since you've been visited. :p |
Hi starving thread...we still love you!!! |
2 Attachment(s) Uh oh! Here's some food for you little big thread (your tummy and your mind). I've been busy spending my time looking on-line for apartments in Austin. They do have a few (like tons!) so I just have to decide which part of Austin I want to live in. |
Awwww, poor little thread. Seems it has been neglected. Thanks to you Susie, it will not starve. So looks like you are definitely going to Austin??? Yay for you and Tink!!! |
Susie, when do you plan on moving...soon? |
