Well, something I ate Christmas Eve didn't set well with me so I've been sick since. Didn't get to watch Caleb open his presents (with mom's help of course).

Today I should be back at work but I can't concentrate very well. No one else is in the office today anyway - they're all on vacation this week. So, I'm resting and having a cup of tea. I LOVE tea.

Oh Susie, I hope you feel better soon. Having been the 'victim' of food poisoning twice myself I can relate to your post all too well. The only good thing about it was...I had it pretty bad both times and I lost a lot of weight

Hopefully they took a phone video or lots of pictures to share with you.

OK, it was bad. I just had food poisoning last month. Didn't expect it again. But today I'm starting to feel pretty normal.

I haven't seen my daughter or grandson since Christmas eve so I don't know if they took pics. Can't imagine they didn't. Maybe I'll get to see them tomorrow. I miss that little friend. He is such a good and happy baby. Sarah is blessed!

I'm glad you're feeling better! Do you take any probiotics? That was suggested to me to replace the good bacteria in my system when I had it the last time and it did help. Oh, also...for the nausea...get a bottle of Cola Syrup...it is an absolute miracle! You just put 2 TBSP. over crushed ice and sip it until it's gone...your nausea will disappear. I get mine at Walgreen's but other stores may carry it too. I gave some to my 45 year old (step) son last week for car sickness and within minutes he felt as good as new.

Hi everyone. Hello little big thread.

I'm healthy, Tink is healthy, Stuart is very sick.

I don't think he will make it through this year. Poor little fella was not taken care of by his original owner. I think they loved him because he has no fear of people and will let anyone pet him but clearly they did not understand that he needed health care.

I'm trying to help him have a better life now but the damage is done and some of it can't be repaired. I've worked with our vets over the year and he is so much happier and healthier but his heart has been damaged and he has constant infections from the holes in his mouth that won't heal where rotten teeth fell out.

I'm at the place now where I have to decide how much more money I can spend on him and still take good care of Tinkerbelle who has her own health issues from being a puppy mill rescue. I've had Tink since she was 8 weeks old and we've been through a lot together. I've had Stuart for 10 months.

So guess I just needed to get that out so I can see it and think about it and pray about it. I'd appreciate any info, support or prayers you want to send our way.

Susie, have you tried Coconut Oil for Stuart? I've heard and read that it has some wonderful healing properties and it fights bacteria...it's a natural antibiotic. Maybe you could ad some to his diet and see if it helps...

No, I haven't heard of that. I'll Google it and see what I find out. I'll try just about anything. Poor little fella has been throwing up since Friday. I feel so badly for him. He shakes all the time now. I don't know how much help he's getting from his meds cause it all comes back up.

He's in good spirits today though. He wants to play with the beaver squeeky toy and sit next to me. Bless his little heart. I'll call the vet in the morning. Time for a discussion.

Well, if he's not keeping anything down I don't know if adding an oil would help or hurt.

There are several members on here who use coconut oil...maybe you could start a new thread and see if someone else can help.

What does he eat?
