| There's 5 slivers of meat in each sea cucumber.... it tastes very much like clam.... but wow, a lot of wasted animal for such a small morsel. I hate wasting seafood... it's all just so delicious! |

| I'll have to admit that I haven't been forced fed it since I was a kid. But I remember it having the consistency more like jellyfish, not clam. And I love jellyfish. I just didn't like the taste, not so much the texture, and the fact that I was forced to eat it made me hate it even more. The chinese way does not waste any of it. Then when I found out what it looked like and that is was an animal I almost barfed.

| Yes but I'm not quite sure which species it is. Maybe the common moon jellies? Whatever they sell in Asian markets is it. (Obviously! ) https://www.google.com/search?q=jell...w=1279&bih=702 I usually eat the chinese way, which is with rice vinegar, sesame oil, silvered raw carrot, ginger, chili, garlic, onion, sesame seeds. Korean way is more salty and spicy. There's a viet version as well. I'm sure there are more. Jellyfish is very low in cholesterol and fat, and helps lower blood pressure. It's a crunchy texture, not jello like at all. If you have ever petted a jellyfish in an aquarium you kinda know it's not like jello.

| Me too; I love Uni the yorkie, but hate uni the food. If Bear Grylls eats it on his show, chances are I won't like it! Fully agree with him that it has the texture of baby poop, haha.
