Positive Boosting Thread! I noticed there are a lot of sad threads and I thought maybe we could make a game out of things that positively boosted our day. Even if you had a horrible day maybe someone held the door open for you, or you found a penny on the floor. Anything positive even if it is just a thought of happy memories. I'll start… Today I am excited that I will be visiting my sister and dad, and going to my brother in laws rock concert! |
Great idea! We have been having issues getting Layla to take treats right out of our hand.. she started about 3-4 months ago cowering for no reason.. but today she took one out of my hand.. MADE MY DAY :) |
Love the idea! Tonight we'll have good friends over, the wine is chilling,and it seem like it wont rain, so we will be able to seat outside. As a bonus, I just received the "flameless candles" I'd ordered and will put them out to set the mood. |
Upon leaving our Dr. yesterday which was exhausting for the both of us, we stopped to get a bite to eat, left, got into the car, realized I had taken my wallet out of my purse, it was not there, went back in and it was laying in the booth seat. Never ever done anything like that, hardly any money in it but oh my gosh, all the important contents. How very fortunate and blessed I was to find it :) I know today is going to be a good day, awoke this morning with a gratefull heart that I didn't have to deal with what could & would have been just from me being careless yesterday. Most of my family is on vacation and I couldn't go cuz DH wouldn't watch my babies and it left me to take care of my 89 year old dad who needs 3 visits a day. So I asked my one brother who never helps out and asked if he could help today and he said yes. So he took him breakfast so I could go to my exercise class and then him and my Dad met me at Red Lobster for lunch. We had a nice time. |
Getting our gift exchange package today made our day, our buddy was extremely thoughtful! Went in the bathroom to check on my kitten and she was snuggled into her stuffed doggy sleeping. I love when she stretches after waking up, I look forward to it every morning, she warms my heart. Bless all those who are having rough times in their life. |
After sitting up all night playing on the computer, I was able to sleep in today. Hubby had to work overtime and the babies let me sleep with them cuddling up next to me. Heaven. |
I got to go to breakfast with my MIL...haven't seen her in 3 weeks...then had wonderful lunch with my DH...and found 2 GREAT items for my breast cancer fund raising auction! Now I have all three of my babies sleeping all snuggled in around me as I play on the internet. It's good to be me today. :) |

I saw the most amazing butterfly today perched on one of my roses...it was a breath taking sight to be seen. |
It was a great Sat. My DH & I got to spend time with his daughter, son/girlfriend (they live in another state). We have been babysitting for his daughter's yorkie all week. They were stopping by as they had gone to the beach w/family for a week & on their way through, of course Mommy had to see her little baby. He's staying with us another week.:D Mommy has to go out of town for work. Right now, Noah is laying in his bed beside me taking a little nap.....we all played hard today!!:p & Bella has been the perfect little hostess!:p |
DH, Conner and I went to my mom's for dinner tonight. We had clam chowder, stuffed clams and fritters. For dessert we had banana cream pie - and I didn't have to cook. DH helped my dad fix some things and Conner played with my mom and dad's yorkie, Liberty. A good time was had by all. |

it was a good day. the house is clean.. i met my puppys new owner today. and i believe she will give gus a good life,.. she wants to take him places.. like soccer games and tio the store.. and on vacations.. he will be the only dog.. so he will be the king.. with 2 boys age 5 and 8 and a stay at home mom.. i am counting my blessings.. and the weather is perfect..have a great day tomorrow all..:) |
Today I was able to take a nap, and wake up to my boyfriends chi Luka licking my face. :) Then I fell back asleep. :) |
Thanks for this thread, its really cheered me up:thumbup: My 2 youngest children are sick and I thought I was having a very sad/bad day, but after reading here I realize things are'nt so bad. The babies are both sleeping, my 2 older kids are still in bed (and its nearly 10am here!) and I've got YT and time to myself to enjoy it:D |
Yahoo!! I will be bring Suri home soon! Today my boyfriend has a championship softball game (the first team he coached, and they won all of their games but one which they tied) So hopefully we will be bring home a trophy! :) |

We all hate back to work Mondays...............but today wasn't bad at all :D Even covering for someone on vacation I stayed on top of things and wasn't frazzled at all. It was a GOOD Monday! |

It's a beautiful morning in east Tennessee, cool and there's a nice breeze. It will get hot, but the mornings are gorgeous. The birds are singing and it's great to be alive and have family and friends and furkids! God bless. |

I lost my job but have decided that with my free time I will volunteer for a rescue. It's something I have always wanted to do.:) |

Scored lots of new hair bows at Claire's yesterday....and Macy's had shoes on sale...40% off...then take another 50% off....how could I not buy them...!! Also took my youngest, Zoey, she got a lot of attention...and was the perfect young lady. Another beautiful day in sunny S. California!!! |
Fantastic Thread! I had to take Emmitt to the vet this morning - he scratched his eye - and when I was checking out I saw an old friend that I haven't seen in years. It was nice to have a little chat and catch up. Emmitt's eye is going to be ok - we have to use an antibiotic cream three times per day for the weekend and go back on Monday to have it rechecked. |
