I know here in Georgia, you have to practically drag the judge to down to witness for himself the mother smoking crack while having an orgy and physically beating the s**t out of her kids in order for the father to get custody. Sad, but unfortunately true.

ETA: even if he is fighting for custody, it can take YEARS. Family court moves very slowly.

We had the same issue with DH's kids. Several lawyers we consulted with told us the same thing, and to save our money.

Well, guess what...He didn't even bother to show up today...They issued a warrant for his arrest his bond is $5000.00 and they are taking his driver's license and his business license. They said if he doesn't pay the bond he will sit in jail until the next court date in March. They said that they want to file felony charges against him. I don't know what that means exactly. But, I don't think it is good for him.

felony charges, you are talking jail time, just what he derserve thou, he'll have time to think about paying his child support,, my mom always told me it takes a REAL MAN to be a Daddy, and i believe her, i'm glad i have a good husband, his pays are deposited right into my checking account and he never asks me what i spend the money on, he always has food in the house, and the baby has everything he needs...
