Think of the times we've spent money on our dogs and our husbands tolerate us. I would explain to him that you wish he would consult you on this sort of thing next time. But I have to say there are times I have gave things away without thinking just because i wanted to do something nice to someone. Maybe he just wanted to do something nice.
If it were my husband i would just talk to him. I wouldn't leave him over something like this but i would give him a good talking to.
If ur considering leaving him over something so minor i think u really need to talk to him and work things out before you end up in divorce. Good Luck.

Honestly, Yeah he was WRONG to just GIVE away your stuff... however.. I think you are a bit more mad than the sitution calls for. You didn't use it, and $300 is not going to make or break your life. Pick your battles and I think this one is not worth the battle. You & your husband are very kind and generous people... someone who is going to use it is thanking the two of you right now very much for giving it to them!
