Donating YT 11K Club Member | Checking account at Citibank I'm so confused! I had a checking account at Citibank and i had checking plus where i could borrow $500. Well since that was like my first card stupid me did borrow $500 and went over by $200 so in total i owed $700. So like a month has passed and i haven't paid that $700 cause i had no way of paying, i had no cash, everything i had was on paypal, and i couldn't make payments online cause it said it wasn't available to me for some reason. Well i just called and the guy told me i don't owe anything I said' what do you mean, i want to know how much i owe, i know i owe something' He said it shows that i owe $0. He said it shows i went overdraft $200 but a deposit was made and it went back to $0. I didn't make a deposit im so confused. So now the account is closed and i don't owe anything. I'm just worried cause if i do owe something i want to pay, i have the money to pay it now. I don't want it to stay under my name that i owe money and have bad credit in the future. Has this happened to anyone before? Also the guy had a very thick accent and i could barely understand him and he seemed like he didn't know what to say so i asked to speak to someone else and that's when he put me on hold and then gave me that explanation. So i just said thank you and bye.

| Call back, ask for a supervisor and explain your situation. Also you could ask if you could get something mailed to you that says the account is closed and you owe nothing. |

| I would ask for them to send you an official letter stating that you do not owe them anything. Keep is at proof incase it should pop up any time in the future. |

| I would def. speak to someone higher up. Something similar happened to my hubby before we got married. He thought he had over $400 in his account and went out and bought a few things. Then he got a letter in the mail that he overdrafted. Well what had happened was someone with a similar name deposited money in their account and they accidently put it in hubbys. Once they caught onto the mistake they took the money out of his account and put it back where it was originally suppose to go without telling hubby. Banks make mistakes all the time. I'd go check it out. I'd hate for you to use the money on something else and then they fall back on you later.

| Ask for a letter stating that you don't owe anything if they insist that you don't owe anything.
