| Oh wow... gorgeous pup! We've seriously been discussing getting a Great Dane. I need to find some breeders around here and discuss temperements.

| Just a thought..... the solid white one will be healthy?? I only ask because in researching breeding possibilities for our Australian Shepherd, we learned that if you breed the same color male and female (in our case, blue merle), you have a very high chance of getting a "lethal white" litter. These puppies are blind and/or deaf and are usually culled. Don't want to go into all the details but I was wondering if this can happen with breeding the same color Great Danes also. Just trying to learn more..... BUT if he's healthy and will continue to be so, he would be a gorgeous dog!

| I love the picture of the white pup! I have only seen a Great Dane once and was so surprised at how big they were! My daughters thought they were ponies!

| That's good to know. I was surprised to learn about the same-color issue with the Australian Shepherds and didn't know if it applied to other breeds. If I were to ever get one, I would love to have the brindle color. I think those are beautiful but I bet a solid white is gorgeous too. My sister's is fawn - looks just like Marmaduke!

| How is their temperement? Are they good with children? We have 5 and another on the way. We currently have a 17 yr. old black lab mix and she's queen around here. Even with the yorkies. We know that she won't last forever and want her to be able to teach a new puppy the way around here. We live on a big farm and currently don't have any livestock but we will in the spring. Are they good around livestock?
