| ![]() i took the depo shot at first and i still had periods i was on it for over a year and it just didnt work out i bled almost everyday for over a year. no kidding! i was then on yasmine (pill) and i loved it!! but when i wasnt on my moms insurance anymore they were costing me 50 dollars a month for one pack. so now im on ortho and i actually start mine on sats not sundays. I dont like these as great as the yasmine but since i dont have insurance and i go to the clinic they dont carry yasmine. but i dont pay anything i actually have womens medicade that you can apply for and if you make like less than 1200 a month i think than you qualify and it pays for almost all the women health issues for like paps and stuff. my last pap would have been 150 dollars last time but i have the womens medicaid and i dont have to pay. I also heard you can take birth control consecitivly and not have a period on the pills. some thing about skipping the white pills(or whatever color yours are ) i call them the period pills lol the ones you take when you are gonna start. not sure so dont quote me on that lol! |

| ![]() with the depo it hurts your calcium really bad! you have to really take calcium pills! also i dont know if this is with everyone but some of the birth control pills make you not have a sex drive like you dont want sex at all. That how i am on the ortho. but yasmine just made me feel normal. i really wish i could be back on it. |

| ![]() One thing to remember to is that everybody is different so what will work for some won't work for others. I know some people that benefited from Depo and some that did not and it actually harmed them. That's why you should always check with your doctor. That's because every birth control has different hormones levels and such and you need one that will balance out your own hormone levels. Also for Txgurl06 I was on Desogen then Yasmin and now Yaz. You might want to see if your insurance will cover Yaz because its not that much different from Yasmin. I loved Yasmin and didn't notice much of a change from Yasmin to Yaz. I would suggest at least checking with your Doctor and your insurance to see.
