| Aging.... getting sick I haven't posted for sometime now... I don't know if anyone has noticed.... I have been dealing with some health issues for a month now. It got me into some sadness... but then motivated me to healthier life style. So I am doing some changes in my life. When I had my 31st birthday on past August, I was feeling very down about my age and felt really old. Well I know that 31 is very young... but for some reason, I felt different comparing with my past birthdays. I am a doctor hater. So I didn't go to a doctor for 3 years (I think.) I finally made an appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital near my work abd got a new PCP. I like my new PCP, she is great. I made an appointment for a few days after my birthday, the same week I was feeling a bit depressed over my age. PCP makes a huge difference I realized. I am not a doctor hater any more (for now). Ah.. bad news. I am official *old* (maybe not necessary) but sick for sure. I could have been hospitalized then, but my doctor wanted me to try my best with medication. So I started taking prescription medicine. This is the first time that I am taking medicine that I don't know how long I have to take. There is no stopping date. And I have a treatment plan. I am 31.. and dealing with health issue. It is too soon... I didn't expect myself to be dealing with this in my 30's. Every time I go to a doctor... I am told to add other medicine... and increase the dosage.. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I also wanted to do something for myself other than taking medication. So I started taking a walk everyday (joined a gym with 1 year committment-- very expensive gym so I have to keep it up.)... trying to eat healthier... it is always hard when I am stressed out. Unfortunately my work is getting much stressful each day. But then I cannot quit or change my job because of my immigration status pending.. So I am hanging... I have a very good friend, Patti... (you know)... who supports me every day... and helps me with my insurance questions... (since she was working for insurance company.... for long time). So that is how I am doing... And Haruka.. she is always supportive to me... I am so glad that she is here with me..

| I'm sorry you're going through this, but very glad you went to the doctor. Sometimes we have to be on medication for a long time. If it makes you feel better it's worth it. Hoping your immigration comes through soon, so you can change jobs.

| HI MICHIKO!!! YES! I have MISSED you!!! I'm so glad to see you on the board, but I am sad that you are having health issues. It sounds like you have found a good doctor and that is great! Taking care of your health is such a good thing to be doing now - you are still young and the more you take care of yourself now, the better you will feel when you get older. You might consider seeing a lifestyle counselor, a nutritionist, or a holistic practitioner - someone who can take a look at your entire life and help you make some good decisions. Sometimes doctors only treat the illness with pills, when we also need someone to treat our whole being. Good luck with everything and post more often - especially pix of Haruka! She is a doll baby - I love to see her pix!!!

| I was actually wondering where you went just the other day. I was thinking about that situation with the AKC registration and wondering if anything every came about with it and knew I hadn't seen you post since that thread was closed. I'm sorry you're sick Your baby sure is gorgeous!

It seems like my breeder hasn't been on for long time. And nope, I didn't receive the AKC paper. But I am waiting on her therapy dog registration from Delta Society. It should come in a few weeks. I am really feeling *oh well* about AKC paper.. But Haruka keeps smiling at me. SO it is all good. Haruka is definitely supporting me through difficult time as well.

| Michiko - I'm sorry you are dealing with a health issue. It sucks at any age!!! And it certainly seems like the doctors just want to keep adding drug after drug after drug!!! As for your stress, working out will help - but you also might want to try some yoga. Glad Patti is there for you and there is no drug quite like little Haruka!!!! Hugs to you both!
