| We always made the kind with marshmellows. I know there are a couple recipes out there, some use corn syrup. Popcorn is my absolute favorite food. I'll eat it every day if I can

| I boil sugar and water till thick, but you have to be careful not to burn your hands when making them. Also don't pack them tight. Yep, lots of fun to make and oh so good to eat. Yummers!! |

| I absolutely love them! I can't eat them this year though. I have gestational diabetes while I'm pregnant. So I will have to wait until next year.

| You know, I even had my own gourmet cookie and candy business, but never used splenda in my candies. Does it caramelize like regular sugar does?

| I just love popcorn balls!!!...As a kid on Halloween I would go to a house twice so I could get two!!!...Then I would trade the other kids for theirs, I would end up with quite a few.... I had one one year that seemed to be made with sugar instead of corn syrup, the popcorn ball had a crystallized look and feel to it, I haven't had one of those in years, I would like to duplicate it though if I knew for sure how it was done!..... I have never had one made with marshmallows, are they sticky and do they firm up?

I would not use Splenda or any artificial sweetner if you are pregnant. It can have bad effects on the baby.

Yes, they usually do. You take a bag of mini marshmallows and a cube of butter and melt them in a pan on the stove. Then pour over popped corn and mix up. Make balls. At least that's how I remember. I haven't made them for quite some time. Correct me someone if I am wrong. I think you might add vanilla, too, but not sure.

| Wow! I had not known you could make these in your own kitchen..I was just super excited about them being available in the store this time of year...knowing what I know now from reading this thread, this could be a year round treat.... I just love the individual wrappers and woohoo popcorn ball inside. |
