That's the hardest part. The Mommy in me wants to march up to that school and demand to know why that little brat didn't want to be friends with my little angel anymore and tell all the other kids that Olivia is NOT a Biter Girl and they had all better play with her and be her friend OR ELSE.

She has to learn to accept responsibility for her actions though. I just hope they don't make her suffer too long.

Just make sure she knows that although biting is bad, it's never bad to defend yourself. My mom always told me that if ever someone hit me that I had every right to hit them back LOL. You sould also as your daughter if she really even bit the other kid. When I was in preschool, this girl bit herself and then went crying to the teacher and told them I did it. They called my parents and and my parents threw a fit at the school because they later saw the girl bite herself again to keep the marks fresh.

poor kid. I remember those days. Her friends will forget all about it in a few days... once some kid picks their nose and eats their boogies, your daughter biting will be old news.

Oh Olivia readily admitted to biting her. She said, "I bited her right there on her arm because she wouldn't tell me why she won't be my friend and that made me really angry at her."

things... your little girl is a pissa..im sorry for laughing, but she is the cutest.

My "perfect" grandson started school last week...he was fine in the two years of Per-K..suddenly he is Mr. Chatterbox during quiet time and shoving in line.
The teacher said to just remind him each morning of the rules and insist on him obeying them..it took 3 days and he is going by the rules...the teacher said so many children today are taught "nothing is their fault"...and have the right to act as they please. It will make for a very unhappy adult.

The same thing happened with my 4 yo nephew. It turned out that the kid that he bit was hitting him when no one was looking, every day, until finally my nephew lost it and bit him. The teachers finally caught on to it. He does have a right to defend himself. Unfortunately at this age, biting is what they think of.
