I'm a Cleveland Indians fan and have been all my life. I got to see them go to the WS in 1995-1997. Those were GREAT years! Now we have won the pennant in our division and are in the playoffs. We had the first game tonight against the Yankees, and we won! I'm happy!!!

Yes that sure was a fun game and this has turned into a Cubs and Indians thread.

Yorkieluv I'm glad you didn't take a nap and although it is only almost midnight here, my eyes feel like 2 am. I may not last much longer either.
Next two games will be better times for us.

I just wanted to say that I have been a die hard Cubs fan my whole life. I used to wear a Cubs hat everyday for about a year (I was a big tomboy) I used to record Harry Carry singing and even some of the games. I cried for the Cubs when we missed our big chance a few years ago. My father could never afford to take me when I was young, he just made a lot of promises. We just bought a house outside of Chicago. Hopefully by next year we will scrap some money together to finally catch a game at Wrigley.

I love being a Cubs fan. Cubs fans have a strange bond. We're definitely not "fairweather" fans. We still stand proud when people try to make fun of the fact that we haven't won a world series in forever. If we win I will be screaming and jumping up and down. If not, then there is always next year. Cubs fans will ALWAYS be behind their team

You said it so well. So many people I talk to and run into through the yrs have lived in Chicago and although they move and have a city team they hold their Cubies close to their herart. They lost last night and it would mean they would have to win all three now, they could do it but if not maybe next year. I too remember a few years back when they almost made it, I was a wreck and moved furniture in my entire apartment because I could not watch. I had it on and waited for the screaming when they were in Chicago or waited for the announcers commentary but I was a basket case. You are going to get to a game now, I know you will and Wrigley Field in it's self is great to see. I am not even a baseball fan that much but I do love our home team and always watch how the Cubs are doing and will til I die

I was born in Chicago, we moved to Hinsdale for only a few years and then back to Chicago's north side close to Evanston. My brother lived in Naperville.

Ditto - same way with our Indians - so I was rooting for both and always will.

Well I was supposted to be taking care of the kids tonight but it was better for the grandmother to stay tonight since she got a last minute call that her other daughter is coming in from out of town late tomorrow.

No cubs game tonight but tomorrow at Wrigley Field and Sunday too.l

Indians game is 1-0 still in the 5th Yankees ahead.....but not for long.LOL

bottom of the 11th the Indians have the bases loaded two out 3 balls and 2 strikes and a hit wins them the ball game. My nerves are shot.

OMG - Hafner saved the day....my stomach was hurting...lol....2-1 what a game and what pitching on both sides....what's up with those Canadian Soldier bugs....they were aweful. Yuck.

I know that poor Yankee pitcher.........did you see them stuck to the back of his neck and ever since I saw them I can't stop scratching.

Wonder what they'll have in store for us Sunday lol

Super great game and pitching on both sides was remarkable. Go Tribe!!
