A friend told me about a site she uses to keep track of what she eats, exercise, etc I signed up there today. http://caloriecount.about.com I been doing very well today had kashi cereal for breakfast, banana chips for snack, kashi frozen southwest chicken for lunch, kashi tlc ranch crackers for snack. Will have another kashi meal in a bit for dinner and then one more snack tonight. I am having a very bad weekend with how I am feeling, so I am thankful for these frozen dinners. |
Well I have really gone and blown it today. I have ate chips and Salsa and just now a ice cream sandwich. My damn husband loves to sabatoge my diet and I truly believe that!!!! I tell him do not bring me home any ice cream, just you. He does every time and just laughs about it. I have no will power if it is he I will eat it!!! |

Don't give up - we all have those days but the best advice is to get right back on your eating plan!! |

Weighing in I want to weigh in too. I have no idea how much I need to lose - it's been ages since I've been on the scale - don't even know if mine is accurate. :D I'm guessing I need to lose somewhere btwn 5-10 pounds. Definitely I need to firm up. I need to get on an excerise plan big time! I used to do Callanetics - a bit like palates (sp) - - small muscle movements designed by Callan Pickney. I was so slim & tight when I did these all the time. I also have the palates dvds I should be watching. I even bought a Bean off an infomercial several months ago - but it's still sitting in the box - unopened. I need some good motivation. I have an old boyfriend flying halfway across the country just to take me to dinner for my birthday in a couple of weeks - you would think that would have been motivation enough, but I've been busy & lazy when I'm not busy - that counts being on yt - lol I probably fall in that group of not eating enough, a lot of time. I love Special K with strawberries. Lots of fruit. I try to drink a glass of milk every day - but I know I should drink more. And I could improve my water intake - its good, but could be better. I probably need more protein, so I am not so tired, therefore kind of lazy. Exercise - any good motivational tips?? |
I just have to tell you all, I cheated a little today! I had dinner from a Taco Place (a burrito and some chips with cheese dip) and a diet soda. I did manage my portions, by not getting the burrito meal.. but I have to tell you guys.. it was NOT SATISFYING AT ALL. I felt miserable and sick after and it was so not worth it. I'm doing extra workouts tomorrow and drinking extra water to attempt to get the sodium out of my system and I'm hoping it doesn't affect my weight loss too much. Just wanted to admit that to you all.. but I'm not down on myself.. it was a slip up, but a portioned out slip up that I won't be repeating :) |
Picked up Gucci today Hi girls, I did not exercise today. Our family went to pick up Gucci. The lady (Debbie) is so nice. She even went in the front yard to say good-bye to Gucci. She was so helpful. Gucci has not taken a pee or anything. She did get pretty car sick though. I tried to post pic's, but I had a hard time. I will have to try again. Tomorrow I will get back on track with some exercise! |
Whoopi! Yay - I finally broke my plateau that I've been on for just over a month. I was steadily losing 1 pound a week since January and around 8/6 just stopped. I haven't gained anything but not losing but maybe a half pound these entire 6 weeks, but I never strayed off my plan - still eating right and exercising at least 4x week. I weigh myself every Saturday morning first thing and yesterday I lost 2 whole pounds..yay! Yes -it was so frustrating doing everything right and still not losing but I kept right on. So - don't stop or give up if you cheat or hit a plateau - keep going - it finally comes off. My nutrionist told me that I was doing everything right but my body had to play "catch up" with my new weight and get used to it and stabalize. It finally did and hopefully now I can get these last 8 pounds off. Keep it up everyone - have a great day. :D |
Before August 2006 I wanted to drop at least 20-30 lbs for my sister's wedding... Well, feeling like I had tried every diet and diet pill known to man, I didn't know where to begin........ I finally decided to go to the doctor for help.... I was literally depressed over my weight I told the doctor...... I had to do something.... Well in January 2006 he put me on a diet pill called Fastin (generic is phentermine)........ In August 2006 I had lost 45 lbs! I felt so good! The weight just flew off.......... I have to say I am now a true believer in Fastin... It doesn't give you that nervous energy, but it gives you that get up and go! It totally curves your appetite too... I didn't want anything to eat.... I literally had to make myself eat....... I had absolutley no side effects! I am a sole believer...... As of today I have not gained a pound back....... I am down almost 60 lbs from what I was in January 2006.... I suggest this pill to anyone who has a large amount of weight they want to lose.... Thanks to all the stories and help on here! Its a day to day struggle to keep it off! Its not something you just lose and it not come back... You got to work at it every single day! |
I managed to do pretty well with the diet yesterday...I'll try to do the same today. But I'll have a hard time walking for exercise as I think I broke my toe yesterday...darn it...it's all black and blue and very swollen, hurts like heck to walk and I can't bend it. So I may very well have a lazy day today... |
Congrats!!!!!:congrats: :bravo: :good job: Quote:

I think this joke would be fitting to post in this thread..... HELP FIND LARRYSubject: Larry Is Missing!!!!! Larry was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really angry. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 6 seconds" - "AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!" The next morning Larry got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift -wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Larry has been missing since Friday. |
1 Attachment(s) HAHAHAHA that's funny!! here's a little laughter for you as well :D :D |
lmbo,now that is funny! |
I want to get in on this too. I need to lose about 15 pounds. I've read through this whole thread and you guys have a lot of good pointers. I use a lot of Splenda. Now I'm scared of it! I don't think I can quit it cold turkey though. My mom went to an Iridologist who told her not to use any artificial sweeteners at all. |

Today.......... 138.5!!!!!!! :woof: :woof: :2oh59: :2oh59: and I actually was VERY bad yesterday!! I am giving myself one day a week where I can have whatever floats my boat :) and Sunday's are going to have to be that day. Football season is here :) yesterday my team didn't play (they play tonight WOOOHOOOO) but I did enjoy some candy ALL DAY LONG lol I am a sucker for the sour patch watermelons. i had those. Speaking of pounds. I love the Walk away the pounds DVD'S,anyone else have those?!!! Also can someone recommend a accurate scale to buy? |

Well I weighed in and stll wary of posting my actual weight here. So next Monday we will know what if anything I will have lost. Just got the new batts for the digital scale yesterday so don't know where I was before that! I do know that my jeans tell me that I lost a couple pounds as they are not choking me in half at the moment. Of course, PMS is setting in and I usually take on 5-7 lbs of water bloat. And people wonder why I get so darn cranky. I will try to counter that with gallons of water intake. My weekend was so busy that I actually didn't eat much. Which would explain why I am starving right now! Off to make a soy protien and black raspberry shake................. |
Congrats Pepe Mint! And everyone else who has lost so far...it's OK to have one cheat night/day - mine is mostly Saturdays since that's the day we attend dinners/parties, go to movies, etc. Yippee - I broke my plateau I've been on since 8/6 and lost 2# so now I'm 5 pounds away from my goal but for us old folks it takes longer than you young people..hehehe. :D Keep up the good work everyone - have a great week. |
Well, I Lost 10 Lbs In 1.5 Weeks. I Went To 2 Dr's And They Told Me I Had High Blood Pressure , 148/90 , So I Started To Eat Healthy. I Went On A Low Sodium And No Salt Diet And Eat Fruit And No Snacks , Limit Coffee And The Weight Just Came Off. I Am Now 139 Lbs After Losing The 10 Lbs. Drink Plenty Of Water, Eat A Low Salt Diet, Did You Ever Look At The Amount Of Salt In Foods? It Is So High. I Also Watch The Fat Intake Too. Only 19 More Lbs To Go. |

I am down 5 lbs for the week. I should be down 7, but I gained 2 back which I am attributing to my A.flo being in town as of yesterday. I'm still eating healthy and working out, so I can't wait to see what next week will be! |

Well congratulations to you also. 5lbs is great. |
2 Attachment(s) You guys are really doing great! It's starting to convince me to get off my big ol' butt and get busy. I've been really bad these past few weeks with eating out. I've been so busy now that hubby is back in school for this year that it's just easier to run to a fast food place and grab something. I gained about right at 80 lbs when I was pregnant with my son. I've gotten so huge since I graduated high school 2 years ago. :( I was 160. Which for my height was good. Then a year later (right before I got pregnant) I weighed 180. I got all the way up to 260 with Chase and now I'm stuck at 220. I knew how big I was getting but just didn't realize how different I looked. The other day I ran into an old friend from school and he didn't even know who I was at first. I know he didn't because he walked up and said, Kristi? It was a question. Like wow you don't look yourself. :( It really hurt my feelings. I know he didn\'t mean anything by it though. None of my clothes fit anymore obviously. I just got so sick of seeing them I sold them in the newspaper. I got rid of all my good name brand clothes for dirt cheap. I have a hard time sticking to diets. Hubby refuses to eat healthy foods. If I see what he is having, it tempts me into wanting it too. I was told not to excerise alone, due to heart problems. I never really had the heart problems until I gained the 20lbs after high school. Also, many of my family members are diabetics, which occured after they put on weight. I def. don\'t want that! I just feel so helpless. Hubby still treats me the same as he did 80 lbs ago, just wish I could feel that way. I work best when someone tries to diet with me. I basically have 2 best friends. One being my mom and she is losing a lot of due to health illnesses. She can\'t really afford to lose any more. My other friend lives 2 hrs away and she is considering gastric bypass. She has always been heavy. She is probably pushing 300lbs. She has tried dieting but due to her thyroid problem she never has been able to lose her weight. I really want this BAD!!!! Anyone have any tips for me? Thanks so much for hearing me complain and all. I just needed to get it off of my chest. Here are 2 pictures of me one a couple years ago and the other just last month and you can see the big difference. :( |
