| Vegan/Vegetarian Recipes Does anyone have any good vegan/vegetarian recipes? I'm looking to try new things. Also, can anyone recommend a vegan/vegetarian cook book? I have one called RawVolution by Matt Amsden (LOVE this book and all the recipes) but I want to try some new recipes to add a little more variety to my meals.

| There is a recipe for raw tacos in Real Food Real World that my entire family LOVES. It also has recipes for raw cocktails. Some of the raw recipes take a little time to prepare, but if you plan in advance it isn't that bad.

| I have a great recipe for raw tacos too (from Matt Amsden's book). It's amazing. You use a collard green leaf as the taco shell (or you can use a romaine lettuce leaf if you don't like collard greens), you use seasoned ground walnuts for the meat (you season it with coriander, cumin and nama shoyu) and this amazing recipe for salsa. You can even add some shredded lettuce to top it all off. It's DELICIOUS!! We just had it for dinner Sunday night. I love it.

| Since I am a veggie (as my fiance calls me) and he isn't, I always find ways to substitute what I make for him. I have been dying for some spinach lasagna these days. Barnes & Nobles usually has some really good Vegetarian cookbooks in the bargain section. I would take a look there next time you go. I usually find my recipes on the internet.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Thanks you guys for posting this..I am not a Vegan but I have close friends who are and it's tough entertaining when they are invited since they are our only Vegan buddies. I'm looking for mainly appetizers. Do these books have appetizer recipes???

| I have 3:The Best Vegetarian Receipes Martha Rose Shulman,Vegetarian Times Complete Cookbook and Moosewood Restaurant-New Classics. They all have some good receipes. I have had these for at least 15 yrs. My husband is a carnivor so I always have to make sure that meat can be added to his. Sometimes he THINKS he is eating meat I especially like Quorn in chillis and soup.
