| I've read so many, but none really stick out in my mind. Supervising people is so difficult. I have the most diverse staff - race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, you name it! It's so tough. The one book that isn't really specifically on supervising that I do recommend for you (and your staff) to read is called QBQ - The Question Behind The Question. It's small - you can read it in a day. The website is http://www.qbq.com/. Instead of people asking "why don't they...., why do they always ....., etc.", we ask "what could I have done to have avoided that?, how could I have handled that better?, etc." If everyone tried to live like this, we wouldn't have nearly as much conflict. It helps you as a supervisor stop to really analyze what you are doing when managing your staff. For the staff, it helps them find trigger questions to help them to become better team players. If I can think of the names of any others that have stuck with me, I'll pass them along. Good Luck!

| I actually have a book at work called 'how to deal with difficult people'. We went through Integrity Selling at my work and all the 'prizes' were books like that so I ended up with a couple of different ones.

| Hey, I think I have that book (or read it). I always find that so many of those books are the same and/or plain ol' common sense. It's hard to find a "new" concept that really sparks some new ideas.
