| Anyone have implants/ teeth I mean I just had two teeth and a permanent bridge removed unexpectally. Lower left bottom. I am thinking about implants to replace the missing bridge. Anyone have them and what are your fellings regarding them. Was it tough to go through? I understand it takes at least 3months before it's completed. Thanks for any info. |

| My Husband is going to be getting two of them as soon as his gums are ready. His dentist told him it takes a year to get your gums too recede enough for an implant after your teeth have been pulled. He gets his teeth pulled tomorrow and he got a flapper to put in the place of the missing teeth. He was going to get a bridge but it was only a little more for implants and they are permanent. Our insurance doesnt pay for implants so we are saving for them now. I would get the implants I think you will be happy you did

| Good luck to your husband on the teeth pulling. My oral surgeron was fantastic. Felt nothing. My dentist said as long as the bone could hold the implant I would be set to go. My insurance also does not cover the cost of implants. They are expensive but I guess being permenant they are worth it. I just need some reassurance I guess. Thanks. |

| I have an implant and I think it was tough to go through but well worth it. The procedure didn't hurt but the mold and stuff was yucky. Seems like I had to go back over and over again and that was a hassle. It also ended up costing twice as much as I was quoted because everything they said could happen did. I wouldn't want to discourage you because I think you would like the results but it will be a bit rough to go through. Good luck. |

| I don't have them but have done a lot of research anticipating I may need one. Some oral surgeons/dentists can do the implant at the time the tooth is extracted as long as there is enough bone to receive the post. Also understand that the tooth part of the implant is in essence a crown. Crowns may not last forever. You can google dental implants and find lots of info.

My furkids Donating Member | I don't have them but, my husband needs about 5 and at $3500.00 a tooth it doesn't look like he will be getting them anytime soon. If they were front or side teeth (that could be seen) without a doubt, we would find a way to get them. Also, I don't think insurance covers the implants. I think they consider them cosmetic.
